                                  Act One; Scene One



( Alexandra and Michael walk on-stage)

Alexandra: “ Isn`t it going to be awesome, Mikey? I mean, we`re going to Paris, France, for spring break… With
friends!” 

Michael: “I guess…But don`t get too excited Alex,” 

Alexandra: “Why?” 

Michael: “Because you and I both know you`re going to get homesick,” 

Alexandra:” Nuh, uh! Name one time when I`ve gotten homesick,” 

Michael: “Well, there was that time. Oh, and that time; and we can`t leave out that time when you-“ 

Alexandra: ”Oh, shut up, Mikey,!” 

Michael: “Oh, all right…But when you wake up in the middle of the night, crying for Mom, don`t wake me up, because
you can`t use my cell phone,” 

                               Act One; Scene Two:

(Lauren and Cassandra walk on-stage)

Lauren: “Michael Louis is sooooooooo hot! Maybe he`ll kiss me in France!” 
 
Cassandra: “Lauren, trust me on this, he doesn`t like you, and he will probably never, ever kiss you,” 
   
Lauren: “How do you know? We`ve been friends since way before you, or Alex, 
or June, or even Max was born!”                                                                              
                        
                                                                                                                       
                   

Cassandra: “Whatever. Just don`t get your hopes up,” 

Lauren: “Shut up, Cassie. I`m warning you,”

(Cassandra runs off-stage, followed by Lauren with her fists up)


                                Act One; Scene Three

(Maxwell arrives at the Baurs` household and knocks on the door)

Maxwell: “Bonjour, Mrs. Baur! My parents said that they can`t thank you enough 
for taking me to France. I decided to study up so I would know all about it,” 

Mrs. Baur: “No problem, Max. Would you like help with your bags?” 

Maxwell: “No thank you, I`ve got them,” 
  
(June runs to the door, and Mrs. Baur leaves)

June: “Maxie, are you ready for France?” 

Maxwell: “Yeah, but my French isn`t what it used to be,”

June: “Max, you`re only ten-years-old,” 

Maxwell: “So, what? That doesn`t mean that I don`t have the right to learn to speak French. Especially, when I `m
actually going to France,” 

June: “ Whatever, Max.  Come on and bring your bags to Asian`s room. Just don`t get too comfortable because we`re
leaving on M	onday,” 

                          Act One; Scene Four

(Maxwell, Cassandra, Lauren, Alexandra, Michael, and the Baur family walk into Heather Methodist Church and have a seat
in the balcony)

Cassandrato June) “ It`s such a beautiful church,” 

June: “ I know, we love it. Maybe you could come with us more often,” 

Father Millwood: “ Please rise for the Lord`s prayer,” 

Junewhile everyone else is praying) “ You know Cassie, HMC is celebrating  it`s 145 anniversary,” 

Cassandra: ”Really? That`s really old,” 

June: “ I know. They say the ghost of the Hunchback of Heather Church still walks these halls. HOOOOOOH!!”


Cassandra: “Oh, shut up June,” 

                            Act One; Scene Five

(Mr. Baur walks into Asian`s bedroom where Maxwell, Michael, and Asian spent the night)

Mr. Baur: “Wake up, boys. It`s time to go to the airport!” 

Michaeldreamingly)” I think you`re hot too, Lanisha,” 

Asian: “ Five mo minutes peeze, Daddy,” 

Maxwell: “Bonjour, Monsier Baur,” 

Mr. Baur: “ Bonjour to you too, Max. Now wake up Asian and get yours and his luggage in the back of the Dulli while I
wake the girls and figure out a way to get Lanisha, here out of bed,” 

Maxwelllaughingly) “Aye, aye, cap`n,” 

                             Act One; Scene Six
(everyone is in the car on their way to the airport)

Maxwell: “Did you know that the ancestors of the French were the Gauls?” 

Junesleepily and sarcastically)”Did you know that I`m trying to sleep?” 

Laurendreaming)”Yes Michael, I will marry you,” 
                                                                                                                       
                                          
Cassandrasleepily)”Shut up, Maxie,” 

Michaeldreaming)” I love you too, Lanisha,” 

                         Act One; Scene Seven

Mr. Baur: “ Wake up, kids! We`re at the airport!” 

Maxwell:” Awsome! Wake up guys!” 

June sleepily)” Oh all right Maxie, but if I`m sitting with you on the plane, please let me sleep,” 

Alexandra: “ Let me sleep you…you…you…bigfoot! 

June:” I know it`s hard, Alex but we have to get up. We can sleep on the plane for as long as we like, because France
is about two or three days away,”

Alexandra:” Okay, but that means you`re bigfoot-ette for backing Maxie up,”

                           Act One; Scene Eight

Maxwell:” June, wake up! I can`t sleep, and I want someone to talk to!”

Junewith eyes still closed)” Max, I told you to let me sleep on the plane!”

Maxwell: “ Yeah, but how can you sleep knowing that we`re almost to France!”

June: “ Max…we`re an entire two days away from even being close,”

Maxwell: “ So? That`s still soon,”

June: “ Maxie, I`ll make you a deal. You promise to let me sleep for three more hours, and I will promise to do
whatever you want when I wake up…Okay?”

Maxwell: “ All right,”

                        Act One; Scene Nine

Maxwell: “ June! Wake up! We`re in France!”

Junewith eyes closed)” Wake me when we`ve landed”

Maxwell: “We already have!”

June: “ I`d better get up then, shouldn`t I Bigfoot?”

Maxwell:” Yep… Hey!”

June: “ Sorry Max. Just thought the name Alex gave you was pretty good for you,”

Maxwell:” Hmph,”                          

                             Act One; Scene Ten
(everyone walks outside)

Maxwell: “  I cannot believe that we are actually in Paris, France!”

Asian: “ Daddy, can we go to the hotel now?”

SummerJune`s two-year-old sister)” Mommy, I wah go hohe now,”

Mrs. Baur: “ Baby, we`re not going home anytime soon,”

AutumnJune`s seven-year-old sister)”Do you want to hold my hand, Summer?”

Summer: “No, bah Ottie! I wah go hohe!”

June: “Come here sweetie. Did you know that you get to sleep with Mommy and Daddy in a cool new room?”

Summer: “ Ah do?”

June: “ Yeah, you do,”

Summer: “ O.K. Hode me, Juhe,”

June: “ Okay, sweetie,”

Cassandra: “ Ahhh, she`s so cute!”

                Act Two; Scene One

(June, Cassandra, Alexandra, and Lauren are in pajamas in a hotel room)

Lauren: “ Alex, do you know who your brother likes?”

Cassandrato June quietly)” Here we go again,”

Alexandra: “ Well, he likes this 10th grade girl with huge breasts, named Lanisha,”

Laurenquietly)” So, she`s my rivalry,”

Alexandra: “Huh?”

Lauren: “Nothing,”

Alexandra: “ Why do you ask about Mikey?”

Lauren: “ No reason,”

Cassandra: “ ‘Cause she likes him,”

June: “ ‘ Lauren and Michael, sittin` in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G,”

Laurennervously)” Why would I like Michael Louis, anyway?”

Cassandra: “ I don`t know! You`re the one who likes him, not me,”

Laurenthrough clenched teeth): “ Shut up, Cassie,”

Alexandra: “ You, like my brother? `Cause he likes you!”

Lauren: “ On that account, I do like him,”

Alexandra: “ I was just kidding. I guess I brought out the truth,”

                                  Act Two; Scene Two

Maxwell: “ I can`t believe we`re actually going to the Eiffel Tower and  the Opera Garnier de Paris!”

Michael: “ As long as Lanisha isn`t there, I can believe it,”

Lauren:” Lanisha probably wears a water-bra,”

Michael: “ What, Laur?”

Lauren: “I didn`t say anything,”

Cassandra: “ Mmm, hmm. Sure,”

Summer: “ Cah-ee?”

Cassandra: “ What?”

Summer: “ Wih uhe hode my hand, peez?”

Cassandra: “Sure,”

                          Act Two; Scene Three

Maxwell: “ The Opera Garnier de Paris was awesome!”

Michael: “ I wish Lanisha were here,”

Lauren: “Shut up,”

Michael: “What, Laur?”

Lauren: “Once again, I said nothing,”

Cassandra: “And once again, yes you did,”

Lauren:” Huh?”

Cassandra: “Nothing,”

                      Act Two; Scene Four
( all the kids except Asian and Summer are at a party at their French hotel)
Laurencrying in a corner to Cassandra, June, and Alexandra) “ Alex, why doesn`t Mikey like me? We`ve been BFF`s
since kindergarten! I mean, we`re in Paris, France A.K.A the city of romance. He could at least ask me to
dance,”

Cassandra: “ Laur, just give him a little bit more time. He`ll catch on that you like him, and when he does, he`ll
realize that he feels the same way about you too,”

Alexandra: “ Yeah, and if he doesn`t, I`ll have the pleasure of making the rest of his life miserable,”

June: “ I`ve never told anyone this, but I…well…I like Max,”

Lauren: “ You do? Really?”

June: “ Yeah,”

Alexandra: “If you want, Lauren I can convince Mikey to dance with you,”

Cassandra:” Yeah, you`re an attractive girl, go ask him to dance,”

Lauren: “ Thanks, guys but I guess Mikey and I were never meant to be together,”

( Michael walks toward the girls)

Michael: “ Hey girls. Lauren…why are you crying?”

Lauren: “ Never mind that,”

Michael: “ Well, you look really pretty tonight. Do you want to dance?”

Lauren: “ I`d love to,”
   
                  ( as they walk away and dance, Maxwell walks up to June)
Maxwell: “Um…hi, June,”

June: “ Hey,”

Maxwell: “ Well…um…I was just wondering…if you`d…well, if you`d like to dance with me?”

June: “ Only if you don`t bore me to tears talking about Frances` history,” 
Maxwell: “Fine. If you say so,”

                                    Act Two; Scene Five

Mr. Baur: “ Wake up, kids. Sad to say, it`s time to go home,”

June: “ Fine,” 

Lauren: (dreaming)“ Oh, Mikey you`re so warm,”

Cassandra: “ Oh, brother,”

Alexandra: “ Five more minutes,”

Michael: (dreaming)“ Get away, Lanisha. I like Laur now,”

Maxwell: (dreaming) “ June, will you marry me?”

Asian: “ Go away, Daddy,”

Summer: “ I wah mah  Mommy…NOW!!!!!!!”
 
Autumn: “ Go away, Dad. Can`t you see I`m trying to sleep?”

Mr. Baur: “ GET UP NOW!!!!!!!”

June: “ I said fine. Geez,”

Lauren: ( scarcely waking up with eyes still closed) “ Wah?”

Cassandra: “ Geez,”
 
Alexandra: “ He sure can get mad. Gollee,”

Michael: “ I`m UP!!!!”

Maxwell: ”Fine!”

Asian: “ Daddy`s … mean to me! WAHH!!!!”

Summer: “ I WAH MAH MOMMY!!!!”
