make-up and hair tips

Hair tips While there are some people dealing with thin, fine hair, other people are walking around with so much hair they feel like they have an outlandish wig on the top of their head. Just as thin hair is a challenge, so is a head of too much hair. For people living with this problem, they often feel as though there are no solutions. In most cases, they have tried tons of things, none of which has worked. If you find that you have an abundance of hair, do not stress. Instead, consider some of the following hair style tips, which work: Your first hair style tip is that you should meet with a professional hairstylist to have your hair cut and thinned. The result will be a smoother and slicker appearance. However, before you run out to have just anyone cut your hair, you should look for someone that specializes in thick hair in that it is unique and requires special skills. Another hair style tip is to keep your hair shorter, perhaps in a Bob or Crop, or wear it extra long. If the hair is short, you will have a stylish, trendy look whereas the length will actually help to weigh the hair down, making it smoother looking and more manageable. If your hair is long, wavy, and thick, then you definitely want to consider a long hairstyle. The weight will flatten the waves, again producing a smoother look. You might talk to your hairstylist about having your hair straightened or relaxed. Now, because this process involves the use of harsh chemicals, it is not something you should ever try at home. Instead, you want someone with years of experience doing the work. Sure, you could buy a relaxing product from your local drug store but typically, they do not work well. Additionally, these products put your hair at risk for permanent damage. See if straightening your hair will compliment your features with a free trial of Stellure hair styling software: Click Here Even if you love changing the color of your hair, avoid it. When you color thick hair, the hair shafts will automatically swell, making your thick hair appear even thicker. For another hair style tip, always use quality de-frizzing products. They will smooth out the hair and help it look sleeker. The market is flooded with a number of good options, such as John Frieda, which makes one of the most effective and affordable products available. Keep your hair clean with a good, moisturizing shampoo, which will help keep your hair from drying out. When hair dries out, it will frizz, making it appear larger and out of control. Additionally, rather than use shampoo at full strength, dilute it so you have one part of shampoo to three parts water. Leave-in conditioners are another of our hair style tips. These conditioners are always great for thick hair. While you can find a number of great products on the market, an excellent choice is Sebastian’s Potion 9. Although the layered look might be popular, if your hair is extremely thick and wild, this would not be the right style to choose. When layers are cut in, the hair will actually look fuller, completely defeating the goal. Try putting your hair in a braid. To make it tight and sleek, braid your hair wet, immediately after washing. Never wash your hair with hot water. Instead, wash your hair about every two to three days and then rinse with cool water. Do not be afraid to try a variety of different products. Sometimes, you just have to see what you like and what gives your hair the best result. Our final hair style tip is that typically, blow-drying hair will make it appear thick and full. However, if done right, it can help. To make blow drying work for you, use shampoo with a moisturizer, followed by a good conditioner, rinsing well. Rinse with cool water and then towel blot your hair. Then apply the leave-in conditioner and with a wide tooth, comb, remove any tangles. Now, divide the hair into two, four-inch sections, blowing each section dry at a time. By using a paddle brush, you can blow downward, going from the middle of the hair to the ends, which will help the ends to lie flat. If you were to blow the air upwards toward the roots, you would actually cause the cuticles to puff up and look larger. Work slowly with each section and when the hair is completely dry, apply a gel to keep the hair slick.
Make-up tips Many people will spend significant time fixing their makeup so it is just right but then overlook the importance of their hair, or vice versa. The face and hair are generally the first two things people will notice first. For this reason, you want to ensure your makeup and hair, complement one another. As you will see from the make up and hair tips below, you can achieve movie star results with ease. We will start with the beautiful Carmen Electra. She has a natural yet glamorous look that most women would do anything to have. Carmen is the type of woman that walks into a room and everyone notices. Part of this is caused by her luxurious hair, some by her beautiful body, and some because of her face and the makeup she chooses. The nice thing about Carmen’s make up and hair tips is that they can be achieved by anyone. Best of all, even though it appears as though she spends hours after hours getting ready for a big appearance, Carmen’s look is actually very low maintenance. If this look is what you want to immolate, then the goal here is to place an emphasis on the lips and eyes. First, you would start with clean skin, followed by a good moisturizer. Next, apply concealer in the corners of your eyes and if you have any dark circles under the eyes, there too. To create a base for the eye shadow, you will also apply a small amount of concealer to the lid. Next, choose a light, sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer. Now, apply a little pressed powder, choosing a shade that matches the color of the foundation. To finish the base, use a peach or pink colored blush, applying only to the apples of the cheeks. For the eyes, you will apply a medium brown eye shadow on the lid, followed by a deeper chocolate brown in the crease. Blend these two colors well and then add a nude shade to the brow bone to help brighten the eyes. Brown or black eyeliner will create drama and a small amount of powder brushed over the eyelid will finish the look. Finally, Carmen uses a faint peach or pink liner and then a lighter shade of gloss.
Styles Soft, bouncy curls are not just popular they are sensual, sexy, and fun. Creating the best curly hair styles, even for people with naturally curly hair is something you have to work at, just a little. The key to having the most amazing curly hair styles is choosing methods and tools based on a number of factors. To begin, do you have hair that is all one length, or do you have layers. Keep in mind that when hair is layered, even if the layers are long, curls will be easier to achieve and shape. Short Hair When using a curling iron, choose a one-inch barrel all over your head. Make sure the pieces of hair are all tucked under so you do not end up with a flip out instead of a flip down. When you have finished curling your hair, rub some wax or pomade onto both hands. Then, to apply the substance, flip your hair over, rubbing your fingers throughout to create a soft, loose curl. For a tighter curl, spray your hair with a firm hairspray. Medium to Long Hair Hair of this length typically requires a little more work. However, you can achieve wonderful curls just as with short hair. The one downfall for medium to long hair is that the top of the head often ends up flat while the middle and ends are heavy with curls. The best option is to purchase a good set of hot rollers, which take about 10 minutes to put in and take out. If you want extra curl, you can leave the rollers in for 20 minutes or more. The key is to spray hairspray in a downward motion onto your hair as you wrap it onto the roller. This will help produce a more defined and tight curl. You want to roll the hair in one-inch sections, starting from the front and moving back. Next, you will roll the sides, working from the top to the bottom. If you take the curlers out and find they are too tight, then use a soft finishing gel or spray to soften them. Another option for achieving curly hair styles is to scrunch your hair using a hard hairspray that is combined with a mousse or soft gel for softening the curl. With these curls, you can wear them to the office or school for a casual but sophisticated look and then at night, you can pin your curls up, creating an elegant and more sensual look. Now, let us look at the various tools available for getting these curls: Curling Iron Curling irons have been used for years with great success. They are inexpensive, easy to find, and come in a number of different design options. For example, you will find some curling irons with built-in or removable brushes, steam, misters, and so on. Curling irons are also available in a variety of sizes ranging from one-quarter to three inches in diameter. If you want to create curly hair styles on just a portion of your hair or need a last minute touch up, the curling iron would be ideal. This tool is also excellent for creating an emphasis. As an example, if you were getting married or attending the prom, then you could create two, loose spirals that flow down the sides of your face as well as a few soft curls at the nape of the neck, then you can control the level of curl. When using a curling iron, to help the curls stay, you want to spritz them quickly with hairspray. This will help them last hours, keeping their firm bounce. Another popular option is to use a curling iron to create flips on the ends of the hair. Depending on the size of the iron, these flips can be small and fun, or large and sensual. Hot Rollers With hot rollers, you can create curly hair styles perfectly and quickly. In most cases, these rollers have a little bit of wax on the inside, that when heated, they hold the heat so the hair can curl. Like curling irons, you will find a huge array of choices, including curlers that change colors when they reach the optimum heating temperature. Years ago, people dreaded using hot rollers because of the design. They would become wrapped around the hair, causing tangles and lots of frustration. However, with new technology and design, you can now curl your hair in minutes without the hassle of tangles. For the best results, you should still use a non-sticky hairspray or gel on the hair prior to curling, which will help hold the curls. Additionally, you should not wash your hair within 24 hours of using the hot rollers in that clean hair will often resist curling. Curling Iron vs. Hot Rollers Obviously, both the curling iron and hot rollers have advantages and disadvantages, as well as similarities, as you will see below: Both of these tools take time to heat to their optimal temperatures, with the rollers generally taking a little longer Hot rollers are great in that they can curl the entire head of hair or just sections. The disadvantage to that is that they are not necessarily the best option for curling the ends of the hair under. Depending on the design, you will find both the curling iron and hot rollers with light indicators as to when they are heated and ready to use Curling irons are typically more flexible when it comes to the type of curl you get. For instance, with a curling iron, you can choose a soft, loose curl or a tight, ringlet-type curl whereas with hot rollers, you get a curl the size of the roller. Curling irons are more beneficial in that they travel better and are easier to transport. With hot rollers, you will get curls that uphold throughout the day and evening better than curls you would get with a curling iron.
Eye Shadow tips On days when you are really pressed for time, apply the base color to the eye then skip to mascara and you’re done. When applying eye shadow to the crease of the eye, keep your eyes open and slightly tilt your head backward. This will enable you to better see the shape you are creating and allowing the shadow to go into the crease. For more mature skin use iridescent shades sparingly. If you have puffy eyelids do not use iridescent or frosted shadows in light colors or white. Use softer, matte colors
Mascara tips If your mascara is new and the deposit on the wand is plentiful, tissue off the wand before applying to prevent smudging. To get more product on the mascara brush try twirling the brush. Pumping it will cause the product to dry out sooner. Try experimenting with different colors of mascara – maybe brown, navy or green. Always use less mascara on your lower lashes. If your mascara thickens when it reaches the end of tube, place the tube in warm water. This will help to make mascara thinner. Never add water to the tube; bacteria can form.
Eyeliner tips When using an eye pencil, open your mouth slightly to relax the eye muscles. It will make lining a lot easier without having to pull or tug at your lid. Apply eyeliner as close as possible and even into the lashes to avoid the white line you sometimes get when liner and lashes don’t connect. DO NOT put on mounds of eyeliner because you will look like a raccoon about three hours later.
Eyebrows tips Always use a brow color that is as natural looking as possible. The main objective is to define not create over-powering brows. To fill in, comb first, then use feather like strokes with your pencil to fill in. To create a more natural look, comb again after applying the pencil. When using a brow definer or brush on brow, the same method is used. Comb, apply with a brush and then comb again. Sacha Cosmetics Dark Brown Single Eyeshadow is excellent for darker brows. When using powdered brow color, use a harder bristled angle brow brush and draw tiny hair-like strokes. When using a brow pencil, maintain a sharp edge and use the same technique as the brush. You may use a disposable mascara wand to soften. The trick is comb, apply, comb. If your brows are low or close to the eyes, bleaching them can “open up” the face. This is a practice of the world's best makeup artists. DO NOT overpluck your eyebrows so that instead of filling in tiny spots, you will be drawing a whole eyebrow that can smudge and look very fake.
Lipstick tips If you are not fortunate to have full lips, wear the lightest, frostiest lipsticks you can find. They will cause your lips to look fuller. Follow with Sacha Cosmetics lipgloss. To prevent lipstick from getting on your teeth, put your finger in your mouth and close your lips-when you withdraw your finger it will remove excess color. You should use Sacha’s Vitamin E Lip Protector before application of any type of lipstick. It moisturizes and nourishes the lips preventing dryness and cracking. To create your own smudge-resistant lipstick blot your lips with one sheet of twoply tissue. Re-apply lipstick and blot again. This will absorb the oils in the product and leave the pigment and matte waxes. To remove lipstick from clothing, apply glycerine on the spot, rub lightly and wash as normal. No matter what color lipstick you choose ,apply lip liner to the outline and fill in your lips. You can then follow with a gloss or lipstick. When wearing a red lipstick, use a brown lip liner all over first as the red pigment will last longer. A great way to organize your lipsticks or use up the end of your lipstick is to dig out or cut off a chunk of lip color and place it in a lipstick palette case. Please DO NOT wear black or green lipstick (unless it is for halloween or some party). If you see any liquid or water coming out of the lipstick, keep it in a refrigerator. Avoid using very old lipsticks. They might cause pigmentation of the lips
Lipgloss tips Apply lip gloss over lipstick or alone. Remember that gloss would emphasize and therefore make your lips appear to be fuller. Women with extra-full lips, should use lip gloss very sparingly.
Lip Liner If lip liner is too dark tone it down with a small amount of foundation then reapply lip liner. Always use lip liner before and after applying lipstick to define the lips. Always sharpen your lip liner before lining your lips then touch the tip of the pencil gently to warm, soften and smooth the point. NEVER wear lip liner and lipstick colors together when they are contrasting colors. When applying lipstick, fill in your lips with a lip liner first. By this way the second coat of lipstick stays longer. No matter what color lipstick you choose ,apply lip liner to the outline and fill in your lips. You can then follow with a gloss or lipstick. When wearing a red lipstick, use a brown lip liner all over first as the red pigment will last longer.
Foundation tips Test foundation along your jaw line - not on your hand and definitely not on the inside of your wrist. View it under different light settings. It must match the natural color of your neck. For easy transition from day to night makeup, touch up with Sacha’s Dual Activ Foundation. If will provide the finish of a powder with the coverage of a foundation. Dampen your cosmetics sponge to create a sheer finish. For a great makeover you must start with the right foundation. Whereas eye shadow, lipstick, and blusher accent the face, it is the foundation that sets the tone for a woman's appearance. Sacha's foundations are all yellow-based. If you are like most women, you have yellow-based skin and must wear a yellow-based foundation. Our Sacha Foundations are available in cream, liquid, or dual activ (powder and foundation in one). Test foundation on the jaw line or forehead. If you want your foundation to look sheer, apply it with a sponge. For more coverage apply it with your fingertips. Professional makeup artists prefer using a makeup brush as this will apply and blend the foundation beautifully. Tap foundation on with sponge or finger. Your skin will look luminous, yet natural. To give the skin a dewy finish, moisten a gauze pad or wash cloth in astringent and gently pat your already made up face. The astringent (witch hazel is perfect) will remove the matte look of makeup, while leaving the skin radiant. Open your mouth when applying foundation to expose the neck area and eliminate an obvious line at the jaw line. Keep two shades of foundation on hand. One will be suitable for winter, and the other for summer skin. Most of the year, they will match perfectly if mixed together. If the foundation starts to curdle, do not use it anymore.
blush tips Draw an imaginary line downwards from the center of the eye. This is the furthest point on the cheek where blush should be applied. Apply blush along cheekbone from hair line downwards to avoid ending up with a heavy "blob" of color on the cheek. Always remember less is best. Be sure to do the blush test. Once you are done with your entire makeup stand back, look in the mirror. Check to see if your face is ‘balanced’. You should have on just enough blush to make you look as though you are blushing. If you have on any more than that you need to tone it down. To soften blush apply some powder over your blush. In the evening you have a little more liberty and so you could go a bit heavier according to the look you wish to achieve. When applying blush use a darker shade to contour your face and "lift" your cheekbones. We recommend light colors of Sacha Cosmetics blush to highlight. Use your blush brush to apply blush with small half-moon shaped strokes moving from your hairline to your cheek bones. Do not apply close to the nose. Keep your blush on the cheek bones. If you have sallow skin, pick a foundation that disappears on your face. To counteract your skin tone choose a pink or rosy blush. For a very natural look, apply blush on the cheekbones and eyelids matching the color of the lipstick. To tone down blush, apply a dusting of powder on top to subdue the color. Never overdo your blush application, tap excess blush off your brush before applying. Use a very small amount of blush for mid-day makeup touchup. The oil from your skin will grab color and intensify it. Invest in a big fluffy blush brush just as makeup artists use. It will give you a soft, even blush of color. Apply blush after powder for smooth, even look with no streaking. Glow Without Blushing. When you just want to add warmth to the skin instead of a standard blush color like rose, peach or plum, use a light to medium bronzing powder in place of blush. When you wear blush, DO find a color that is not too red for your skin tone since you will look sunburned.
Face powder tips Use loose powder to set makeup and compact powder for easy touch-ups during the day or night. For excessively oily skin, use Translucent Ultra Matte Powder. For warmer climates or in the summer, take special care to set your foundation with a loose powder, as heat tends to create slipping or running of your foundation. This is especially so in the case of cream foundation as they tend to have a higher oil content. Keep your compact powder handy for touch ups during the day. If you 'shine' a lot you should use an oil absorbent powder such as Sacha's Ultra Matte Powders in Light, Medium or Dark. Dust a light layer of pressed powder over the face. A pressed powder with an SPF 15 that includes the UVA-protecting ingredients avobenzone, titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide is an excellent option to assure all day sun protection.
Hair beuty tips Haircare has become a major issue in beauty and it has by itself branched out as a specialty field. The hair is an appendage that grows out of the skin through the hair follicle. A hair maybe compared to a tree, as it has a root seated in the follicle and it has a thick trunk forming its base and the shoot grows up and out of the skin. The hair derives its nutrition from the skin, the glands around as well as in the follicle. Hair requires sebum and some extent of moisture. The general conception that applying oil in the head causes hair growth is yet to be proven. The most important points to be noted in haircare are cleanliness, scalp hygiene, haircut and color.
Haircare Your type of hair is the top consideration factor when it comes to haircare. As you may have noticed, not everyone has the same hair type. Some have dense hair, some have coarse hair and others have brittle hair. Naturally, haircare for each of these varies. Brittle hair requires strengthening while coarse hair requires softening. The most basic thing about haircare is to wash the hair and scalp regularly with clean soft water. Never wash your hair with hard water or extremely hot water. Wash the hair initially by allowing water to rinse it well. Try gently massaging your scalp as water runs through it. Make sure to apply the shampoo that is best for your hair type. Ensure that the shampoo you use is of a reliable brand. Massage your scalp as you apply shampoo. Then wash the shampoo off and apply conditioner to the hair. Let the conditioner soak for a few minutes before washing it off and again rinsing your hair. If your hair is dry or coarse or brittle, there are several special shampoos and conditioners perfect for you. There are also special shampoos for dandruff.
Dandruff The major problem in the scalp is dandruff. It is characterized by white flecks on the scalp and irritation in the head. Cosmetically and hygienically it is a great problem and causes great discomfort to a person. Proper scalp hygiene and cleanliness helps in controlling dandruff. Additionally, antidandruff shampoos and scalp oils can help keep dandruff in check. Choose a shampoo that has any of these antidandruff ingredients: coal tar extract, selenium sulfide, ketoconazole, salicylic acid, zinc pyrithione, or sulfur. Tea tree oil contains antifungal and antiseptic qualities that easily reduce the fungus formation and moisturizes the hair. It is not advisable though to apply tea tree oil directly to the hair. Simply add 5 to 6 drops of it to your shampoo.
Hair Loss Right next to a dandruff problem is weak hair and hair loss. The hair loss being talked about here is not the age related one. Rather, it is the sudden hair loss caused by a switch in your haircare products, by the water you use in rinsing your hair, or by any medication you are taking. You must make sure that the cause of your hair loss is identified. Many medical treatments cause a side effect of hair loss. In such cases the conventional methods of preventing hair loss will have no effect. To prevent hair loss, here are some tips that could help you. First, never use too much of hair dryer as they can cause loss of hair. Never brush your hair for a long time. Do not change your hair creams shampoos or conditioners often. Never apply unknown brands of shampoos. Avoid getting too much hair coloring, drying or curling as it harms the hair a lot. Remember that no matter how safe a chemical claims to be, anything unnatural is only harmful to the hair. Never tease hair or backcomb it. It is very damaging and it also takes away hair’s natural luster. Do not do it especially with dyed hair.
Haircut A haircut can change easily make you look completely different. Whether you would look good or not simply hinge on your right haircut choice. Your haircut is a great channel through which you can make the real you shine. Face structure, body physique, hair color, and shape of the head are all considering factors for choosing the right haircut. Today, you can find hundreds of hairstyles available in the market. This allows you certain freedom to play around with your looks. You can go for elegant, quirky, breezy, flirty, or whatever you like. Some of the hairstyles you can find out there are the following: Long bob Short bob Straight Straighten Top Knot Wavy Wedding Hair Ponytail Extensions Curl Blow dry Braided Look Classic Bob Crown Braids Curl n Clip Bob Fringe Blunt fringe Diagonal Basket Weave Shag Blunt Bangs Razor cut Zigzag Root Crimp Layered Long Spikes Short and Spikey Braids Bun Chignon French braid Updo English braid High Fringe Jagged Long Party Party Elegance Roll Up Short Sleek Feathered Smooth out frizz These are but one fraction of all the available hairstyles in the market.
Color of Your Hair Hair color is yet another very important thing to looking beautiful. Before, you are more or less stuck with the hair color nature has given you. These present times though have considerably altered that fact and made everything more fun. Hair dyes have definitely brought a whole new dimension to haircare products. Even if the color of your hair is something you do not like, you can now easily remedy that. Plus, you get the freedom to change hair colors whenever you feel like it. You can dye your hair in saloons or even at home. Just do not make a habit of it though because hair dying can have adverse effects to the hair. To make sure that changing the color of your hair is safe, take a good look at a hair dye’s ingredients. If it contains ammonia, never ever use that product. Changing hair colors more than once a week is highly not advisable. In fact to be on the safe side, do not change hair color more than once a month. If you do, your hair will turn thin and brittle so fast. If repeated dying cannot be avoided then use a proper conditioning agent after consulting a stylist or dermatologist. There are a lot of hair colors available for you to use. The safest ones though are henna and indigo. They are the most side-effect free of the bunch. The rest are bound to give you one problem or another. Also remember that the color shown on a pack may not always be the same that would appear on your hair. Some dyes contain toxins that can be fatal. Extreme care is definitely in order. As much as possible, let experts dye your hair instead of doing it yourself. Suppose you are planning to apply it yourself then wash your hair with a gentle bland shampoo and condition it. Towel your hair to dampness. Make sure it is not drenched. And then apply the hair dye according to pack instructions. Many dyes will mention that you should apply on unwashed hair but this is merely to make you use more amount of dye. Before choosing the right hair color for you, consider your eye color, facial color and tone. If in doubt, then always consult with a haircare specialist for they would have greater experience on what color suits what type of face. Always start with lighter shade than darker shades, as it will be easier to shift from light to dark than from dark to light. Choose colors that are natural to your region else it would appear quiet odd, unless odd is what you prefer. Start applying from an invisible zone on your scalp so that you may stop the dying if the color does not match your tastes. If you are planning to remove a color then use utmost care to choose a proper removing material that does not damage the hair. The ideal option to color a hair nowadays would be to choose hair color sprays or color gels. These are washable and can change the hair color easily without causing much damage to the hair’s integrity. Remember that hair colors are easily lost if your hair comes in contact with salt or chlorinated water.
Hands and Nails Your hands and nails are also very important beauty aspects. Keeping them good looking is vital. Having dirty nails is simply disgusting, don’t you think? Clean them by washing regularly. Avoid biting nails, as it is unhygienic and also a very bad habit. Make your hands smooth by using proper hand lotions. Desist from hard soaps. Use proper manicuring tools and spend time manicuring every day. A clean nail is always more important than a glossy nail. There are various nail polishes out there. You can choose among plenty of colors and styles. If you are dark skinned then darker shades of nails would suit you. For instance deep purple or dark red would suit a dark skinned hand. Light nail polish shades are more suited for light skinned individuals. Pink, red or blue are the vibrant colors that simply looks adorable on pale skin. Do not make your nails grow too long. Some of you may thin this is stylish but it is really just very cumbersome. It is also highly unhygienic. They may also break easily and so a short but shaped nail is the best choice.
