Suicide is not a pointless or random act. To people who think about ending their own lives, suicide represents an
answer to a problem that they cant solve or bear to stand any longer. It is a choice that is preferable to dealing with
a fear a pain or some type of stress that they fears more than death. In other words they would rather die than live
with this. People who say they want to commit suicide arent joking in most cases there very serious about there wish to
die that doesn't mean that they dont wish to find another way around there problem and some do. But that doesnt mean
that you should make fun of them or say there to scared to do it that is only pushing them more towards actually doing
it. They choose to kill themselves as a definate way of esacping something. Most people who commit suicide have told
other people about their plans.  Schneidman estimates that in at least 80 percent of completed suicides, the people
provide verbal or behavioral clues that indicate clearly their lethal intentions. But the people they have voiced there
thoughts to have either pushed it off choosen not to act or figured that the person would never act upon there words. I
admit that there are a few that only say it to get attention but calling them names and harassing them is not the way
to handle it. Ive been there ive lived it ive tried to commit suicide aand wound up in so many hospitals and ive lost a
friend to suicide. Ive heard him called every possible name becasue he tried to get help and in the end the name calling
and constant harassment along with the problem he already had pushed him over the edge. And the people who had laughed
and said hed never do it had to eat there words when the news came around the school. I cant count the number of people
that have said they wished they could take back what theyd said to him. But they cant. So dont laugh it off if someone
comes to you for help dont push them away. All they want is some way of forgetting there pain and and maybe you could
be that way... There are so many organizations for people with depression,cutting,addictions,bullying,or just plain
hurting there is help sometimes we just have to help them find it. I found mine and to this day I thank my friends and
family for not letting me be alone when i was sad for not letting me keep quiet i hated them at the time but I learnt
to love myself and them for there help.
