Today we are learning about two very different animals
We are learning about Wolfs and Leopards

Lets start with the wolf
Here are some basic facts

females: 4 to 6 feet 
males: 5 to 6 feet 

26 to 32 inches (at  shoulder) 

females: 60 to 80 pounds 
males: 70 to 110 pounds

up to 13 years in wild (usually 6 to 8 years) 
up to 16 years in captivity

Colors range from Jet black to snow white

4 to 6 pups

2 to 30 or more

5 miles per hour

deer, moose, caribou, elk, bison, musk-oxen and beaver. 

Main threats to survival
loss of habitat due to destruction, development and encroachment by humans; persecution by humans

Now some facts about the leopard

The leopard is one of the four so called BIG CATS

The leopard was thought to be part loin part panther

There spots are rarely round

They are often mistaken as cheetahs

Their spotts are more tear droped shapes

They have the abilty to be undeceted or not seen

They like to live alone

Their favorite meal is a monkey

Before mating the male will follow a female
