We're dorks, but we made a typo, so this has spawned. BEWARE THE SPAWN The Drok Plan is a combination health and fitness plan, and competition, to hold all the other Dork's to so that we have a weeee bit more motivation to actually exercise; and same thing goes for writing regularity. Well, no contests with the writing, but we can still hold each other to it. Each day there is a fitness and a writing exercise, at least 2 of the former and one of the latter, essentially making a checklist of something to accomplish before that day is up. We are trying to make it something we can accomplish, but it we CAN'T (and not just because of time management) but we try hard, then I would personally count that as a smiley face and half credit. Note: for other's benefit, I'll also describe what the exercises are... later. At the bottom. Other note: for your benefit also, I'm going to put down what it is we are trying to achieve over all :3
- I'm trying to condition myself for belly dancing! In about two weeks-ish I'm going to make a amateur video so that I can recruit people in my area and won't be the only one. I'm also trying to work on my book, "Dear Diary, I'm Gay," and poetry ( one verse equals a sentence, yes?)
- I want to qualify for away meets, and have sub eight minute mile time. I want to finish my story.
-I spend waay to much time practically doing nothing. I want to be more fit and maybe even do well at track meetings. XD I wanna stop procrastinating about a manga series I'm drawing for and to maybe complete my novel which has no title yet. WEDNESDAY Day 1 Kirti and Luna Drok Plan -2 minutes of push ups! How many can you do?!! -Fifty-fifties -two paragraphs of research, one paragraph re-written-ness, five sentences new work -Run or do jumping jacks or something THURSDAY Day 2 Kirti and Luna Drok Plan -2 minutes lifting yourself by your arms (Like against a table or something) - Fifty-fifties - At least ten mintues meditation, edit one paragraph - Run up a hill/ flight of stairs FRIDAY Day 3 Kirt and Luna Drok Plan -2 minute plank OR 1 minute on each side doing a side plank -Jot down idea that may be useful later; write 5+ sentences on any writing -Fifty-fifties -Go as far as you can with the splits, and hold for as long as you deem appropriate - Breathe in, breathe out CODEX OF EXERCISES FOR DROKS Courtesy of Kirti (slight editings or additions by This CrAzY Chic) I should be lying about the death of Edgar Allen Poe right now! Oh, what tangled webs we weave. As the participant in the Drok plan who knows more exercises, I have been charged with listing some and explaining what they are. Alright, "charged" is an exaggeration. Just let me have my fun. Planks Squats Pull Ups Hill Runs Step Ups Windmills Crunches Butt Kicks Thigh Lifts Crane Legs Driveway Sprints Planks- Start by going into push up position, then bend your elbows (or put place your forearms on the floor, in a different versoin) and start counting pieces of dirt, because thinking about how filthy the floor is may be your one chance of not thinking about how badly your arms burn. Squats- Squat. Now stand up. Now repeat about two hundred times as fast as you can. Pull Ups- Find a bizarrely pruned tree, sturdy curtain rod, or some other bar like object that you can grab and use to move your entire body weight up and down. (might want to make sure it's horizontal, as we aren't in LXD) Hill Runs- Find a hill. Run up it. Walk down it backwards . Run up it again. Walk down it again. Repeat until you collapse and are forced to roll down the hill because your legs no longer work. Remember to keep your elbows tuck when that happens. Step Ups- Go to the bottom stair of any staircase. Step both feet onto it and then both feet down as fast as possible. Up up down down up up down down up up down down. Windmills- Stand straight with your arms held out to your sides. Make large circles with your arms in the arm. Now scowl, as anyone near by should be snickering at you. Crunches- Lie on your back. You like this already, don't you? Put you hands under your head, tuck your knees towards your chest, and move as if you're trying to touch your elbows and knees together. (There are also DIAGONAL CRUNCHES, where you try and make your elbow reach the opposite knee, alternating between right and left.) Butt Kicks- Run in such a way that whenever a foot goes back, it kicks you in the butt. Alternately, running so that you while attempting to knee yourself in the boob is good exercise. Attempting to do both at once is hilarious to watch, but not recommended. Thigh Lifts- Lie on your side. Lift your right leg up in the air like you're doing some sort of lying on your side one legged split, then bring in back on top you your left. Do that about fifty times, then roll over and do the same thing with your left leg. Crane Legs- Standing straight, for starters. Bad posture is cheating. Hold your hands palms down so that the sides of your thumbs are against your rib cage. Now lift your legs so that they touch your picky fingers. Repeat until you hate cranes. Drive Way Sprints- How ever long or short your drive way is, sprint from one end to the other. Avoid running into cars. Note: Exercise should be masochistically satisfying, not permanently damaging. Make sure to stretch before hand, and if you think you're pulling some... Stoppit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PS: the link for Orange will stay the same until her information is given.

You don't place your forearms on the floor for planks! That's like keeping your
knees down while you do pushups.

Dude, that's what a plank is, otherwise it's just holding the pushup position
Does it LOOK like I have a wii fit? Just get Saturday in... or Sunday... or whatever.

Plank is just holding the pushup position. Namely the down one.

-facedesk- In that case, we have two different versions of a "plank," (and you didn't
say it was the down position, either, I believe)
