i wrote this for some stupid language arts project.

the reason im even posting them is because they got nominated for a nationwide contest.

Living is a purpose,
Loving is a laughing matter,
Laughter is a love,
You find your heart shattered.
Broken into little pieces metaphorically speaking,
Feeling like you’ll never find the love your truly seeking.

Giving up, Giving up, When you think you’re at your end.
Pitying yourself when all else fails,
Seems as though you’ve chosen the wrong trail.
You can’t go back,
You can’t change things,
You must live on,
And find your wings.

Touch the sky,
Jump and fly,
Soar away to what’s in store,
