Why, hello there. Despite the fact that this site was built to
supposedly host anonymous interactions, I see quite a few people
listing everything about themselves right down to what color underwear
Hopefully I might be able to do this with a bit more dignity and
My name is Lauren Bermudez. I live in Southern California, USA. I was
born in 1991, so that would make me seventeen in November. I'm in my
junior year of high school (11th grade). I graduate in 2010. I like
meeting people from all sorts of countries. I am a rather avid
Japanophile, and while I cannot speak Japanese for my life, I would
love meeting anyone who lives there.
I have a burning passion for writing. I've been writing since fourth
grade, but thankfully I have improved by a millionfold since then. I
do enjoy anime, but if you expect fluffy, over-romanced fanfiction
stuffed with Mary-Sues then you've come to the wrong place.
More recently I've taken up drawing. I'll admit that I'm not that
great as of yet, but after spending a summer with my tablet and the
wonderful tegakie.com, I can definitely say I've gotten better.
Music is definitely a big part of my life. My favorite genres are most
likely rock and alternative. I'm not all that fond of bubblegum pop
such as Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers or "pop" music in general. I
will, however, listen to anything with good lyrics and a good beat.
Pardon my hypocrisy. I tend to be a hypocrite much more often than I
I also love reading. I honestly don't think I could live without
books. Some of my favorites are To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper
Lee, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, The Realm of
Possibility by David Levithan, Farenheit 451 by Ray
Bradbury, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, and The Things They
Carried by Tim O'Brien. This list is undoubtedly incomplete. There
are way too many good books in the world. (Anything written by
Stephanie Meyer is not on this list, thank you very much. I'll spare
you the details.)
To me, love is a beautiful thing that is oblivious to race, gender, or
age. I support all kind of love. And while I have not found my own
yet, I will continue to advocate acceptance for love at its purest
form. If you are someone who puts down a person because of sexuality,
race, or age, I severely frown down upon you.
Does anyone else find that these so called "cute characters" are a tad
bit small? I'm sorry for rambling. If you read all of that, kudos to
