The laughing, the sounds, everything. I felt myself being set on the ground and something wrap around me. Arms. I
looked up, wiping my tears away, to see Jayce. Helping me. Caring for me. "Its okay" He whispered. I sniffed.  "No, its
not" And then tears rushed back down my face. And there we sat, for the rest of first block. Me crying and Jayce holding
me, whispering little things that somehow made me feel a whole lot better.

Chapter 49
=============

Lunch time. 

The time of day that every highschool kid should dispise. The secondary 1s getting theyre lunch money stolen, they
jocks laughing, the cheerleaders giggling at everything and the pranksters starting food fights. Those are all the
things that make everyone hate lunch. 

And yet today, I see none of that.

No kids crying about theyre stolen lunch can be heard. No lunch ladies telling the kids to hurry up. Not even a sound
can be heard in the cafeteria. All eyes were on the door.

On me and Jayce.

Apparently news spreads fast at this school. All of them seemed to be aware of this mornings events. Suspence filled
the air.

I hate suspense.

I tried to turn around and leave, but a hand held me back. Jayce stood there, glaring at every single person looking.
Few turned away, afraid that if they looked any longer theyer eyes would burn out. Jayce released my hand and stepped
forward. Copying his movements, a bruised Mike stood infront of him. "So, on the sl*ts side, are you?" He said with a
smirk. Jayce glared so hard that his eyes were in slits. "Whats wrong, you dont like your chick to be called names?"
One of Mikes friends stood up and looked over to me. "Do you think I can borrow her tonight?Ill get her back before
midnight" He said. Laughter begun around us again. "Whatever you heard about Kaylee isnt true" Jayce stated firmly.
"And how do you know that?" Mercedes asked. "Because 1, that is the stupidest rumor I have ever heard" Jayce started. I
heard Chris let out a little laugh for the table a few feet away from me. "And 2, why would that be true?Do you think
she is as stupid as Rikki? I dont understand why anyone believes this rumor" He turned to Winks, Kari, Chris and Jake
who all sat together. "Especially you guys. You were with Kaylee the whole time, and yet you still think that she did
that"  The four of them looked down, clearly ashamed. "Besides," Jayce continued. His famous smirk fomed onto his face.
"Everyone knows that Billy and Richie have a thing for eachother" The cafeteria filled up with laughter again and this
time even I coundnt help myself. A smile spread across my face as I turned to Jayce. I mouthed the words "thank you"
and he smiled too. The expression fit his eyes and I felt heat coming onto my cheeks. Suddenly, I felt several arms
wrap around me. Before I knew it, I was  being lifted into the air by Chris, Winks and Jake. "We're really sorry,
Kaylee" Winks apologised. "Yeah. It was soo stupid of us to think that" Chris added. I smiled at them this time. "Its
okay. Look at us now, we made up like a buncha school kids!" It was true. I forgive fast. "Did you see the look on
Billys face when Jayce said that?" Jake laughed as we exsited the cafeteria. "He looked like he was gonna blow!" We all
laughed. I was so happy that the 2 hours of rumoring was over, I almost forgot that it was family picture day.
