I find it difficult to cope with the reality that moral law is subjective. I mean,
if I'm nihilist, that's pretty depressing on its own. However, if I choose to be
non-nihilist, that's pretty awful to, because the world contravenes it, and it'll
never stop.
Possibility also gets to me, and optimism. There's no reason or logic to say that my
life will go well, or things will get better. Optimism doesn't equal truth, but
people assume it does. It's perfectly possible that I'll live out my life with no
meaningful (to the extent that anything can be meaningful, see above) happiness.
I really don't expect you to be able to advise on this, since it is verifiable and
philosophical truth (or untruth). I figured I'd post it here anyway.
