For a moment in time, ocarina felt the full moon of her loneliness
surround her every nerve. Swaying in the deep ocean, she couldn't bare to open her eyes if
not to take away this fleeting, immeasurable instant. What bombarded her mind was the
giant in the shadows, roaring as he took his last breath but certainly not his final task.
Upon crashing to the cold earth, something pulsated, something burned, and ate away at its
skin as if time had sped up and decay set in. After that, a million silver drops of
prismatic light shot out of his chasm and ran in all directions.
The rest escaped her memory but now she hovered in a cold abyss without any recollection
of time. Seconds? Hours? Days? Ocarina caught glints of her own world, like reflections in
a smashed mirror. And as quickly as these feelings danced her around, they tore away from
The air shimmers like the space above a heated griddle. She finally took it upon herself
to open her eyes, and stare at amazement at the sand that glint like millions tiny
diamonds. It was soft and hard at the same time, as she tested her limbs by cupping
handful of and letting it seep between her fingers. Her balance was hard enough, but now
she had to walk on this unsteady terrain? Today wasn't her day..
"Ocarina, Salem? Are you all right?" The soft voice of cheese and wine centred her grip on
reality, as she lifted her arm to signal some form of activity. Salem? Was he with her?
Was he alright?
Ocarina flipped onto her back and stared at clouded sky. Turning her head to match the
gaze of her companions, she quickly sat up with a million questions but knowing neither
would be answered.
"This place must be drying out your scales. This definitely is not good for you." Oses was
right; every breath she took felt as if it ate away the moisture from her lungs. Her skin,
"I should be fine for a few hours but I can't stay in this environment forever." She
gripped the boys hand and tugs herself to the sole of her foreign feet. She hobbled over
to her minotaur companion, and rested her palm on his shoulder. (Wether to keep balance to
to reassure him, that's unclear haha)
"What was the last thing you remember? Both of you."
