Remember those days,
When we would sit outside and music would play?
It'd be a nice warm spring day,
And the trees would sway?
The air would carry a sweet scent,
And you just knew,
This was how it was meant.
There was no drama,
Just you and me.
We were best friends.
And that's how it was supposed to be.
Remember those days?
Remeber when the boys had cooties?
Dancing consisted only of shaking our hips and booties?
Remember when school was easy as one two three?
The most alphabets we learned were A, B, C?
Remember when all we loved was Mom, Dad, and Our Father?
With anybody else, we didn't even bother.
Remeber the days, when we thought the biggest thing was our yard?
When Valentines consisted only of passing out a card?
Remember when the days where we cried out our eyes?
We had each other,
We shushed our cries.
And now, although many things have changed,
Both of us are a tad bit derranged,
We still cry our tears.
But we end up laughing, thinking about our Best Years.
