Advice- Ever feel like your not getting the best of grades? All the
time right? Yeah, well if you ever feel like that than suggest on asking your teacher for
an extra credit assignment or pay attention in class more than you usually do. I'll tell
you onne thing, good grades = good life and career. So trust me on this one.

Mixed Emotions

Temptation where you are caught in the middle of desires I think is the hardest part.
Not being able to chose is destroying my life and breaking my heart.
What's wrong? What's right? What am I feeling? Is it love, is it lust, or is it something
I like based only on sight?
It's something you'll never know inless you share your thoughts and let what's truely
inside of you begin to show.
This is something I learned the hard way. I kept my feelings bottled up never saying what
i thought I should say.
How this hurt me I don't know where to start, but all I can say is that it ripped a huge
hole in my heart.
I don't want this to happen to you. Life is to short to be wasted and to sweet not to be
The best advice I can give to you while you're feeling mixed emotions is follow your heart
it will tell you what to do.

6 c. strawberries
3/4 c. sugar, divided
1 2/3 c. all purpose flour
1/3 c. Hershey cocoa
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
2/3 c. milk
1 c. chilled whipping cream
2 tbsp. confectioners' sugar

Select 6 strawberries and set aside. Slice remaining strawberries. Combine sliced
strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar; set aside.
Turn oven to 450 degrees. Grease 8" round pan.

In medium mixing bowl combine flour, cocoa, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and
salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg and milk. Add all
at once to dry ingredients and stir just to moisten.

Spread dough into prepared pan, building up edges slightly. Bake 15 to 18 minutes. Cool 10
minutes. Remove from pan. Place on serving plate.

Beat whipping cream and confectioners' sugar until stiff. Arrange some sliced berries atop
cake. Spoon whipped cream over top. Garnish with reserved whole strawberries. Serve short
cake warm with remaining sliced strawberries. 8 servings.
