Previously known as Dumer Diner, the place has had a complete makeover. It is now cleaner and crisper, but the 50s vibe still remains. Two televisions have been mounted above either corner of the bar counter and a radio is often playing soft music. Have a complaint? No need to worry, Owner Jenny is always available to help satisfy.

The diner was practically empty save for the homeless woman in the corner booth,
whose hot chocolate Jenny refilled every twenty minutes like clockwork.
Jen cranks the dial on the radio up to 27 and begins to dance around while she wipes off
the counters.
"Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night
And wouldn't you love to love her?
Takes through the sky like a bird in flight
And who will be her lover?"

"All your life you've never seen woman, taken by the wind." Odette McClain sings
along softly to the song on the radio. She sits across from her brother with her bare feet
propped up in his lap. This is their routine. Everyday after school, they come to the
diner, sit in the same booth and do their homework. Or at least Odette attempts to do her
homework but most days, today for example, she ends up
mindlessly drawing in her notebook

"Lookin' good, hun." Oliver's homework is already finished and tucked away at
their home. Now, he's chowing down on his regular: a hefty double cheeseburger with bacon
and onions. His own sketchbook sits open with his own macabre drawing on display.

Lilith enters the diner and pulls her scarf off of her mouth. She walks to the bar and
sits in the middle. "What'll you have?" The owner, Jenny asks, and Lilith replies,
"Tuesday Special."
"One Pig In A Poke, coming up." Says Jenny, who then goes to refill the Twins' drinks.

Kralie walked into the diner with an empty stomach. It was nice, seeing the town so prosperous in the years since the total collapse. But after the death of his baby girl Stephanie, the Operator hadn't reared his ugly head. So, they rebuilt, knocked down the fences, and it's becoming a prosperous little logging town. Finally.

Odette has finished off her chicken tenders and fries and has started picking
what's left off her brother's plate. For a girl who only stands 5'5 ad 120 lbs she eats
like a starving dog.
"Ollie, look." Odette says nodding to the man who's just entered. "That's Kralie DeWitt."

Jenny fills up the twins drinks and glances at their drawings. How
peculiar. She flashes them both a smile before moving over to the door, which had just
rang with the new entry. They were so odd - so odd that she worried being around them
might bring back old memories.

Ollie glanced at Kralie and cocked a brow. "Who?"

"Welcome to J's Diner, Home of the - Oh, goodness. Dad!" Jenny smiles and draws him into
a one-armed hug. She takes a deep breath of his scent, not having seen him in quite some
time. "It's so good to see you. Where've you been?" She leads him to a seat at the bar
near the other girl and places a menu and a coffee in front of him.

Kralie took Jenny in his awkward embrace and smiled warmly at her. "Hey, baby." He said with a smile. His voice had grown gruff in his older age from years of stress and smoking. "I was busy. There was a breach in the woods near the old Fort, it looks like a few crazy campers tried to summon something and got themselves turned into Unconsecrated." The latter half of that sentence was low, so only she could hear it. "I took care of it, though. A shotgun works wonders."

"Kralie DeWitt." Odette repeated to him. "He practically raised this town from the
dead. Apparently a few years ago his sister died. They say she turned into something
evil."
A wicked smile spread across Odette's face. She had a thing for creepy tales. When they
were little the only way she could sleep at night was if Ollie read Edgar Allan Poe to
her.

Jenny puts her hand up halfway through his sentence about the Unconsecrated.
"Didn't see it, doesn't exist, doesn't matter." Kralie was familiar with her view on it
all: She wanted nothing to do with anything even remotely supernatural. "Now, what'cha
hungry for, Pop? The usual?"

Lilith catches onto a couple words between the two - Unconsecrated, shotgun, summon - it
sounded right up her alley. She smirks as she forks a bit of food into her mouth. She'd
have to go investigate this treehouse later. "Hey, Mister. Aren't you the Mayor?" Posters
of him are up in the school, and supposedly they wanted to add him to their textbooks.
"I'm Lilith. I'm new."

"Once upon a Midnight Dreary." Ollie muses in reply. He turns his head 180 to look at the
three at the bar. "Right, I think I remember. Sarah, or something. She went mad and killed
a bunch of people. They found her strung up by her guts in the woods." He takes his
sketchbook into his hand and begins to draw out the scene in his head.

"Yeah, fine by me." Kralie said, eyeing his spot. All of a sudden, he heard Lillith and turned around. "Pleasure to meet you, Lillith. The name's Kralie." He said, extending his too long, spindly fingers out. The fire inside Kralie never died down, even after all of this was over, and he was still burning hot to the touch. She looked like Stephanie, he thought in passing.

"Stephanie." Odette corrected. She had read the stories dozens of time. She had
even done a paper on it in eighth grade. She got an A but her teach also had her visit the
school therapist three times a week after reading it. Apparently, it wasn't appropriate
for a thirteen-year old to describe the details of the most grisly murders ever to occur
in their down with such enjoyment. "Not just her guts. Her teeth and hair where pulled,
pieces of her was missing too. Pieces that were never found."

Jenny heads into the back to cook Kralie's favorite meal: vegetarian chili. It
wasn't technically on the menu, but Jenny made do. An onion, some garlic cloves, couple
cans of beans, diced tomatoes and a range of spices was all it took. She sets the pot to
boil the base while she delivers Lilith her Pigs.

Oliver grin was twisted and sick. He turns the sketchbook around to show his sister the
wicked drawing of what he imagined the scene had looked like. "Didn't she have a kid,
too?" He uses the end of his pencil to point at a small bundle floating in the water of
his drawing. Liliths' ears turn to their conversation as she pokes at her food.

Once his lunch is finished simmering Jenny pours the chili into a bowl and sets that onto
a plate. She takes it to him with a side of club crackers and a few slices of sourdough
bread. Following that is a glass of cold beer. "On the house."

"Thanks, hon." said Kralie with a smile. He dug in with gusto, tearing off pieces of the bread before eating it. He took a sip of the beer to wash it down.

Odette runs her fingers across the drawing, becoming lost in it for a moment. So
much blood.....
It's her brother's question that brings her back.
"That's something else they never found." Odette said focusing on the bundle in the water.
"Some say it just died in the swamps, other's say it was found and raised. For all we
know, some hungry cougar devoured it for breakfast."
