Higashiori walked the small, wavy path that shaped the mountain's base,
far away from any high civilization. He watched the ground, keeping an eye out for
anything that might give him a sign of attack. His little companion woke up from the small
pouch he had around his waist, "Why do you have to stay do aware so profusely, you know
that just makes you suspicious----- like you care anyway. Plus the eye patch doesn't help
your argueme-" Higashiori cut him off, "I'm not here to fit in, I'm trying to get out. So
if that means I have to be open or rough then so be it."
Koie sighed, "You really don't get the point do you? You're not going to leave with a
attitude like that! People consider you a wanderer now, that means you are feared by the
people of these lands! With that, you can't get the clues you want to return home."
Higashiori stayed silent for a few minutes before responding again, "Since I am now a
wanderer, then I can't turn back. Which means my fate in coming home, is all within my
hands. People here just get in my way. If the stay out of my business, I will stay out
theirs." Koie sighed again and climbed to his shoulder.
Once the end of the fog parted, Higashiori spotted the pale girl, "Dammit, another
traveler.." He laughed a bit, but confused Koie with the sudden amusement, "Why did you
laugh, do you find something about her interesting?" Higashiori chuckled again, "Of course
not, just I find it funny she has no idea where to start.. the bonus is she's miles away
from any source of food, so there goes a high chance of her not making it out alive. I
just like to know, that we might now have to deal with another one getting in our way."
Koie rolled his eyes.
