The Elder Scrolls told of its return. Its defeat was merely a delay, for the time after
Oblivion opened and dragon's returned, when the children of Tamriel would spill their own
blood, but no one wanted to believe. Believe it could even exist, and when the truth
finally dawned, it dawns in fire.

So yes the Elder Scrolls Online has just been announced....what do you all think?
Personally I am terrified that this will destroy the series if done incorrectly especially
considering most mmos have yet to break away from WoW's formula (well at least major
ones).
Opinions?

The only game I have played in the Elder Scrolls series is Skyrim but thats because I
hadn't heard of it until my friends started talking about Skyrim so I decided to check it
out. I ended up getting it for Christmas and am absolutely obsessed with it. I already
can't tell fantasy from real life but not I'm having dreams about Skyrim because while my
computer was being fixed I ended up playing Skyrim constantly.

My opinion, is that it depends. A lot of people screw games up when the game goes online
but some people actually make it rather good. I don't think Skyrim would be good on the
computer because its one of those games that shouldn't be out on the computer, just
saying. I mean when I play Sims I prefer it on my computer cause it utterly sucks on the
console. Though you will get that online feature if it goes online. On Xbox, it doesn't
have Xbox live.

(facepalm) Skyrim can only be played on the pc, because of mods! I love the game and
bought it twice first for Xbox 360 which was fun, but then I had to get it on pc for the
true experience

Also mmos never work in favor for a series....never

I've heard good, promising things about Elder Scrolls Online. .w.
I want to play it when it's available for everyone, but my computer is horrid with gaming.

I, on the other hand, have seen terrible things about it.

I played the closed beta, and it was just mediocre at best, but then again, my earliest
memories are playing Morrowind with my uncle. Plus, the price. It'll be sixty bucks plus a
monthly fee of fifteen dollars.

Point is, it is not worth it.

Not much of a WoW killer.
I am just going to sit here, and wait for Star Citizen.

I was invited into the beta twice and thus played it twice. I was not impressed. It is
absolutely not worth the $15 dollar subscription they are asking.
Here are my exact impressions through the wonderful voice of video game reviewer,
AngryJoe.

I havent watched his PvP review yet so I'll have to check that out.

/facepalm Play the previous Elder Scrolls games. Arena and Daggerfall you could get away with not playing but you have to at least play Morrowind and Oblivion.

I love Angry Joe!

As Joe said there is no collision effects which make it weird for the combat system they
are going for. Just game breaker really.

Also all of the DLC already being released.

Indeed.
Now I'm just waiting for a WildStar beta key and keeping an eye out for more news on Blade
& Soul.

They added collision to all NPCs now. I personally thought it was awesome and totally
worth the money. I preordered it.
