so....this is along the lines of my other Clubs Page suggestions post here..but diff..

since mods/helpers are going to be helping out can we do something about all the

the thing is that even if they are not taking up space on the servers....they are at least
adding to the "noise"

try typing in RolePlay for example in the search bar and then click on the clubs...

there are some 217 results!!! and most clubs seem to have like less than 10 members..but
thats not the bad part. the bad part is that i checked the first 20 clubs on the list and
7 of them have club owners who have either deleted or not logged on in months and it seems
like 3/4s of them havent had a "last post" since 2008!

May i suggest that for those that have a deleted owner, that a mod or you (Hina) be able
to post whether anyone in that club or on Kupika want to take it over?

(If you wanted to have fun and had time which you dont of course, you could have an
auction page and let people bid for it with Kps)

And anyways if no one wants to take over that club and it is apparently dead. Then that
the club be deleted.

And if the club seems inactive because it hasn't had any postings in like 6 months that a
message be sent to the club owner asking them what they would like to do. Maybe they want
to transfer ownership or put it up for auction or delete it?

What do you think of this idea? Again I think that Kupika would be better with fewer
clubs with more members than 217 clubs in one area with little to know activity and few
members...and this sort of cleanup and encouragement to the club owners would maybe help
it move that way a bit.

Just somethng that the helpers could keep an eye out for whenever they come across a club
that has a deleted owner account or an inactive club.

(disclosure: this post was also motivated with self-interest because im thinking of
exploring an idea in the role-play area that i have gotten)

This is a great idea, and I agree, it's annoying when I go looking for clubs and half of
them have, like, 4 members.
You who think you know it all are annoying to those of us that do.

I like this idea too. I love roleplaying clubs, but it's annoying that whenever I
try to join a club, I have to check to make sure that the owner isn't off the site.

I agree. I love roleplaying, and I own several clubs of my own. But it gets
aggravating after a while seeing dead clubs, and such. My newest club has been dead since
creation, but I'm working on reviving it. Back to topic; It'd be a good idea to delete the
dead clubs, especially if the owner is inactive, or deleted. The only problem with
that, is if the person is inactive, there could be a reason as to why. I was inactive for
about six months, because my internet was shut off. I was planning on returning, and
would've been devastated if my clubs were deleted. :/

yes, but its not like anyonell know -- there are alot of cases that people arent on for a
while but dont have the opurtunity to tell anyone why. Even if they did tell, if we put
this into play it would be more like they are inactive. There club is too. delete. not
"lets check for the reason!" . i had two very dead clubs and for a while was only putting
time into fiesta -- i wouldve been sad if they wouldve been gone. (more cuz thats wasting
50 kp)

but if they gave you the kp you spent on it back, it would be better, but you would still
have all the work down the drain.

Maybe they could notify the owner.
Pointless comment is pointless.
