In her daydream, she's walking around a beachfront house far from Alaska -
Florida, perhaps. Or perhaps in the Congo. Kralie is with her, his hair turned grey with
age and wrinkled have finally set into his marble skin. They don't have to worry about any
of the stuff that came with living in DeWitt Falls, and for once, their existence is
utterly peacefu-

A babies cry snaps her out of her daydream. At first, she panics, memories of the old days
in the swamps flooding her brain and clouding her vision. But no, it's not another proxy,
it's a very human baby - that much she sees when the town physician comes into
view, clutching a young toddler in his lap. "Oh." It had been ages since she'd seen
an infant; most people were still afraid to house them, and sent them to live with
relatives out of state.

Jenn kicks off of the wall where she was stood and meanders over, wrapping her blue
headphones around her phone and stuffing it down into her pocket. She crouches down in
front of Joe Mott and the infant. "Why, hello there."

"Good evening, Jenny." said the doctor, bouncing the calming baby in his lap. "Meet Hope, my granddaughter. She and my daughter are staying up here for a few weeks." To be truthful, Ophelia was currently in the middle of divorcing her husband. The proceedings weren't going as smoothly as planned, hence the stay. Baby Hope looked like her grandfather, tufts of sandy blonde hair standing straight up from her head, and her pale brown almost yellow, wise eyes staring at the young woman. They were the same eyes that were set into Joe's head, and his daughter's. The eyes of someone who carries the blood.

"Hope." She repeats, and is granted with a happy coo from the infant. "Smart girl,
aren't you?" Jenny whispers at her, her own hazel eyes taking in the amber coloring of the
girls. Hadn't she seen that somewhere before? The time and place slipped her mind, oh
well. Where was Kralie? He loved children.

As did she; Jenny stands and grips the girl under the arms, gently lifting her up and
plopping her against her hip. She'd always wanted children, but living in the Falls had
changed that. She wouldn't have any unless she left, and she - well, to put it simply, she
couldn't leave.

only one sibling wants to be here, and that's Caroline. her wild red hair falls
around her shoulders, a golden circlet just able to keep her fringe in check. walking
around behind the DJ booth, the wide legs of her jumpsuit flutter from the movement as she
picks up another record from the sleep, inspects it. "And that was the classic Pink Floyd
with Another Brick in The Wall Pt.2, followed by Siouxsie and The Banshees; Spellbound. A
change of pace now ladies, gentlemen and those maybe of a gender which doesn't come under
binary terms! Up next, a classic Kanye tune from his first album, The College Dropout,
followed by some Jay-Z. Stay tuned for our first band of the night, Thirteen Seconds to
Midnight," Carol explains through the microphone on her decks, playing a CD. "See you
in a short while DeWitt Falls, remember ; Stay Creepy!"

that's her sign off, and as the song begins she quickly hops off the stage, towards the
food van, holding hat on her head. getting herself a tofu dog, she sits on a bench by
herself, humming along to the tune she's familiar with - though a patron of classic rock,
Caroline likes all genres, so versatile. so unlike her brother. talking to a few other
locals who enjoy her work, the witch is soon engaged in an age old battle of Stones vs.
Beatles. she's always been more Stones, like her father before her.

sometimes, she misses travelling with a band. the thrill, the alcohol. dirty living,
unwashed hair, fist fights. there's nothing like it. sighing out, Caroline ignores the
argument. immerses herself in memories and wondering where her damn brother has got off
to....

"Cute name, isn't it?" asked Joe. "She looks a lot like her grandmother." He trailed off then. Everyone knew the good doctor was widowed, but no one knew the circumstances of the widowing. Some say he killed her, others say she died during the Fall. Some were correct.

"I've never understood what people meant when they said that - that their babies
look like someone else." She brings the babe off of her hip and holds her in front of her
body at arms length, squinting. "She just looks like a baby to me: wrinkled and gross."
She chuckles, then rests the babe back on her hip - Hope plays with the fringe hanging off
of her coat.

"Have you taken her on the ladybug ride?" It's a small 'roller coaster' with ladybug
shaped carts. She turns to point at it= a flash of familiar red hair on the horizon
catches her attention and she grins. "Mind if I steal your little one away for bit?"

"Why not?" asked Joe, shrugging. He trusted Jenny, however he didn't trust the rest of the town. "I might stay nearby, though. Make sure the two of you are safe." It had been ten years since the last disappearance, and hopefully they were stopped, but you never knew.

Jenny nods; she completely understands Joe's unease. The disappearances, The
Entity and Proxy, and now the serial killer in the white suit... Things were ever dull in
The Pines.

Thanks to her small size and - well, and her social status, it was easy for her to slip
through the throngs of people towards the fiery red hair across the way. She stops before
the group where the woman was listening to some sort of debate about who's band was better
- "Niamh?"

she's still humming to herself when there's someone near her - a presence that
she's a little familiar with. but it has been a long time since she saw anyone she used to
know. too long spent in other states, other countries. hanging around and sampling local
music. growing. taking a break from the darkness.

a name that's not hers. she turns anyways, a frown on her porcelain features before ;

"Jenny?"

Caroline blinks, a small smile on her face. it's been a while since she saw her. there was
so much bad the last time. too much evil, too much death. not anymore. well...it's calm
for The Pines anyways.

"where've you been hiding, girl?" aka I haven't seen you since I've been back. And we did
always get along swimmingly.

Niamh had been in an involved conversation with Caroline about music, and waved to Jenny along with Caroline. "Hey, Jen." She said with a smile. Her accent, usually already thin, was almost gone.

A grin cracks across her otherwise perplexed expression. "Caroline."
Caroline-not-Carol, to be exact. The familiar name sets her at ease. The familiar lips,
too. "Oh, you know. Here and there. And where have you been?" And where was
Kralie? Probably off talking to more beneficiaries.

Hey, Jen.

Oh. That's awkward. Jenny flashes another grin at Niamh, who she hadn't even realized was
there. Her gaze flits between the two redheads - apparently she had a type -
and she flicks her tongue across her lips. She wants to speak, to greet Niamh, but -

Hope starts screaming on her hips and Jenny jumps - she'd practically forgotten that the
infant was there.

Joe came out of the woodwork to collect his granddaughter. He pushed her stroller with one hand and held her pacifier with the other, ready to pop it into the baby's mouth in order to stall before he could sate her thirst, or change her diaper, or whatever she needed. "Sorry 'bout that." Joe said with a grin.
