The first block of filming, starting tomorrow, comprises episodes 4 and 10 apparently -
no idea why it is indeed those episodes as opposed to the more linear filming of last
year's episodes. Directed by Andy Goddard ("Countrycide").
As said above, episode one is rumoured to be called 'Fresh Starts' and all of the major
cast are returning (the Torchwood team and Rhys).
Writers of the new series include:
Russell T Davies ("Everything Changes") - 1 new episode (Confirmed as the first episode)
Chris Chibnall ("End of Days") - 3 news episodes
Cath Tregenna ("Captain Jack Harkness") - 2 new episodes
Helen Raynor ("Ghost Machine") - 1 new episode
PJ Hammond ("Small Worlds") - 1 new episode
With the remaining 5 still TBC.

There is a chance that two stories that were dropped from Series 1 could turn up this
series, "Virus" by Andrew Rattenbury and an unnamed story by Si Spencer.

Luckily, rumours are suggesting the Weevil influence on Owen is going to take hold at some
point which is the main thing I was disappointed at the lack of in the series finale last
time.

Freema Agyeman confirmed to guest star in 3 episodes of Torchwood as well as return to
Doctor Who half way through season 4. A new companion will be introduced in the first
episode of season 4. (catherine tate)

This I had not heard! Very interesting, especially if Owen becomes dangerous to the point
where the rest of Torchwood has to turn against him, even if temporarily. Plus, the fact
that their doctor had been incapacitated would give Martha a clear reason to be at
Torchwood....

Anyway, very interesting news. Thank you for sharing!

What we know so far about Torchwood series 2

This is a run down of what we know so far about series 2, just in case people are finding
it difficult to remember what's going on. Consider it a kind of tidying up service - the
kind of tidying up Ianto would probably approve of. Most of it is confirmed spoilers from
sources such as Doctor Who magazine, SFX, Starburst and photo evidence etc and some of it
is speculation that's been around for a while.

Confirmed Episode Plots

1) Captain John, a rogue Time Agent and past friend of Jack's, arrives in 21st century
Cardiff. Whilst trying to encourage Jack to go back to his old ways, he causes havoc for
the rest of the team. (episode 1)

2) Tosh falls in love with a man from World War 1, who's fallen through time. The team
have to send him back to his own time because of the opened rift.

3) A memory thief uncovers long lost secrets from all of the team.

Confirmed General Spoilers

Martha will appear in episodes 6, 7 and 8. She will initially cause tensions within the
team.
A Martha episode involves the "Pharm"
Someone's life will change forever during her time in Torchwood.
The weevils will be further explored. (Julie Gardner, Starburst)
Richard Briars will guest star as a 90yr old man in hospital.
Jack's childhood will be explored (possibly from the memory thief episode)
Jack and Ianto have been spotted weevil hunting late at night. At one point, they stop to
look at a girl who's standing by a lamp post. Later, Jack offers to give Ianto a lift
somewhere.

*****Speculation Only*******

Gwen may be getting married (Gwen has been spotted wearing a wedding ring and Eve Myles
herself isn't married as far as we know)
Owen may start to be influenced by the weevil attack that took place during Combat
Major building explosion, which features a stunt man who may or may not turn out to be
Ianto.
Ianto may be getting a girlfriend and Owen may be getting a boyfriend
Episode titles - Seperation Anxiety, Adam, To the Last Man, Another Working Day, Sleeper,
Reset (confirmed) Death Comes to Torchwood

also - GWEN MAY BE GOING BACK IN TIME - We're going back to the Gwen/Gwenth connection
from Doctor Who!!!!!! - this may or may not be true!!!!!!!!!

plz comment thanks

your welcome

the title 'death comes to torchwood' (which may or may not be a real title),if it is real
it could mean one of the team dies!

i think that someone also mentioned that there is going to be a storyline were gwen and
rhys are on their honeymoon and gwen gets kidnapped - but i don't think that will happen,
i think they might of made it up or got confused with the rumour of gwen going back in
time.

do you want to see gwen get married? - cause if gwen has been spotted with a wedding ring,
and eve myles isn't married so it could be true!

You can, if you look hard enough. This is very strange...but I like the idea of Gwen
getting married - some normality for a change (even if the honeymoon does allegedly get
messed up)!!
