I'm an empty bedroom
where a child once played
i'm a broken promise
a child's lonely grave.
I'm a mother who pretends
that she's upset
but who in reality
starves her baby and laughs.
I'm the father who pushed
a 3 year old girl down the stairs
the mother who dragged
the toddler by the hair.
I'm a battered child
lonely and afraid
too scared to tell anyone
never seeing the light of day.
My name is child abuse
and for some reason i'm still going on
even though the world should know by now-
hitting children is WRONG!!!!

oh this was quite good Samantha. its not sophisticated as poetry itself but its one of
those types of poems that i can see might get popular especially because of its message.
you should submit it to different magazines and places

I really like this, Sam. (:
And I was wondering, that if I used your name, and say this was quoted by you, if I could
put this in the book I'm writing? It's based on child abuse, and I would give you the
credit for writing this poem. if you're interested, please message me (: If not, that's
okay too. c:
