Violet and Alexander had since seperated, and she, manned with her two suitcases
and hat box, had walked in. She hadn't gotten her dorm slip yet, that was coming later in
the day, and she was tired.
The inside, like the outside, was exquisite. More of a small mansion than a dorm house.
She decided to do the first thing she knew to do. "Hello?" She asked. "Is anyone there?"
She then remembered to undo her parasol.

Celeste walked into the girls dorm house. She was towing her 2 suitcases, a briefcase,
and a backpack. Her shoulders ached from carrying the backpack and her neck hurt from the
over strap of her briefcase. She had no idea where she was bunking at since she hadn't
received her dorm slip yet. She heard a person call out "hello." She followed the voice.
"Ello," she called out. She felt lost then again with her poor since of direction she
wasn't surprised.

Violet turned around to see...nothing. Being six and a half feet tall did that to
you. She looked down to see the girl, hair a platinum blonde but still darker than her's.
She envied it. Her pink eyes widened, matching with the girl's amber colored ones.
Today, she dressed in a black dress that covered her from the neck down, and carried a
lace parasol to keep the sun off of her. Even then, she felt naked. It was too sunny here,
too little shade.

Celeste looked up. The girl in front of her was way taller then her. Celeste put on a
smile and straightened out her clothing. Sitting in an airplane then a car all day did not
leave her looking like a supermodel. "I'm Celeste," she said in her British-French accent
while holding out her hand for the girl to shake. Your too formal, her subconscious said
to her.

"My name is Violet, hello." She said, putting on a fake smile. She had reapplied
her makeup, leaving her lips perfectly sculpted. They were painted a cold burgundy, a
color she pulled off well. She didn't like being social, but social she had to be. Her
accent wasn't as thick as Celeste, but you could hear the German in it well.

"I like your lipstick." Celeste gave Violet a "pasted" on smile. And your dress, she
added in her head. She felt awkward standing next to Violet. Her tallness made Celeste
feel like a Hobbit and her dress made Celeste feel like a hobo. I'm sure she didn't want
to make anyone feel under dressed, Celeste's subconscious added. Celeste stood there next
to Violet in awkward silence. She didn't know what else to say without feeling like a

Lainey walked in with her multiple suitcases. She nodded at Violet and smiled a small
smile. Lainey looked the other stranger up and down, sizing her up, and seeing if she
could be a possible friend. She set the large cases down in an unclaimed area, and let out
a long breath. "Hello," she finally greeted, fixing the short, high-waisted, light pink
circle skirt she wore with a crop top as it was warm out that day. She sat on top of a

"Have you found your dorm yet, Celeste?" asked Violet. She was really curious, because she
herself didn't know where her's was. She heard the voice behind her and smiled. "Hello,

"Hello again, Violet," the girl greeted warmly. Lainey stood and walked over to the two,
flipping her curly dark brown hair over her shoulder. Her full, glossed lips curled into a
warm smile.

Celeste smiled at the newcomer. She felt like the oddball. "Hi. I'm Celeste," she said to
Lainey. Then to Violet, "no not yet." I wish I just had stayed by the door and read, she
thought. "You guys make me feel under dressed," she said looking down at her clothes. She
had no make-up on and her clothes were wrinkled from traveling. Plus she was only in jeans
with holes in the knees from being worn too often, a Green Day t-shirt and DCs.

"I guess we'll just have to wait for them to be posted, then." said Violet,
smiling. She let the underdressed thing sail over her head, she didn't want to address

"Name's Lainey," she said, quickly scrutinizing Celeste's appearance. Lainey bit back the
urge to make a catty comment. Then Lainey felt a little bit bad, as she realized the girl
had nothing to deserve such treatment. "Oh, no...Everyone's comfortable in their own form
of dress. Some dress more...simple, and some dress more... Extravagant. To each their own,
though." Lainey fidgeted uncomfortably.

"I hope they post it soon this backpack is killing me," Celeste said taking off her
backpack and setting it on the floor. "Where are you from?"

"New York," Lainey told her. "Born and raised." Lainey looked around for no smoking
signs, wondering if it would be okay if she smoked. She licked her lips, and then bit down
on her lower lip.
