The annual fair put on by the residents of DeWitt Falls to help raise spirits around the
anniversary of The Fall. Not to mention, the profit they make from tourism is very
beneficial.

The fair was shut down last week after a strange power outage. The grounds were picked
up and the fair will return next year.

The first day of the fair was Jenny's favorite. She'd close down the diner and
noon and walk around the fairgrounds, watching people set up, and when night fell she
finally got to relax. The twirling lights and the scent of double-deep-fried-whatevers
hung in the air. It was also the one week she allowed herself to drink alcohol. Right now,
they've got Lindsey Sterling playing over the loud speakers. Elements, Jenny thinks.

She flashes her ID to the man behind one of the food stands and he nods, accepting her
money and handing her a cold beer in exchange. She's dressed in her current favorite ensamble
and feels, for once, at ease.

Odette McCalin enters the fair, arm in arm with her brother. She's dress to the
nines in one of her favorite
outfits.
Odette loves the fair more than anything else. Deep fried food and riding the Orbitor till
she's dizzy.

Kralie also loved the fair. He was honored that it would be held in DeWitt Falls this year, and as such was dressed in his best as he walked around and surveyed everything.

Oliver is dressed nowhere near as extravagent as his sister, but he is no less attractive because of it. He's donned black boots, black jeans, and a white misfits t-shirt of which he's cut the sleeves. He trails alongside his sister smoking a cigarette. Oddly enough, Lilith was nowhere to be found.

"I wonder where our little friend is this evening." Odette mused to her brother as
they passed the kid's rides. They passed a group of kids from school, who eyed them
maliciously before turning around t gossip. Oh, my god. Did you see what she was
wearing? Such freaks!. Odette smiles. She's always firmly believed that if people were
talking about you, it meant you were doing something right.

Alistair doesn't want to be here. But, he's being forced into manning a ride, so
he hands outside the haunted house booth, reading a book or two, face painted up like a
skeleton. He isn't paying attention to who he's serving, many small children being allowed
in because he doesn't care. He liked his job behind a counter with books. Being outside
made him irritable.

Every so often Jenny glances around in hopes that her favorite red-headed vixen
might be about. Then again, this didn't really seem like her type of venue.

Jenny was very relaxed. A couple of her friends from way back when had taken her behind
the haunted house and they'd all shared a spliff. She finishes her beer and chucks it in a
trash can as she comes upon the front of the haunted house and spots the bookstore owner.
He looked miserable. She laughs softly to herself and continues walking aimlessly around
the fairgrounds.

Kralie walked around greeting everyone, striking conversations here and there until he finally came across Jenny. "Hey!" He said, cracking a smile. "How're you liking the fair this year?"

Jenny has a big, goofy grin on her face. "It's really lovely. I want to go on the
tilt-a-whirl." It had been her favorite ride, ever since she was little and she first
moved in with Kralie. "Do you want to go with me?"

"Why not?" Kralie said. "Dunno if I can fit on it, though." He said. He knew for a fact that he couldn't ride the Tomahawk because he couldn't fit into the damn thing, but the tilt-a-whirl was all open air.

The tilt-a-whirl
was her favorite. It was dangerous and yet, so childish. It reminded her of what things
must have been like in the before times. They both pass through the gate and Jenny seats
herself where instructed. She buckles her belt, then an attendant comes around to secure
the bar over her lap and click the shoulder harness into place.

Kralie easily fit in between the long, metal bars on the ride and slid the little rope seatbelt's loop over himself and onto a small pole. He stood next to Jenny, who smelled kinda like... Oh, no she didn't.

Jenny had been thoroughly chewed out by Kralie. As of this past year, marijuana
had been legalized in Alaska for medicinal purposes, but that didn't mean Kralie liked it.
But it was truly the only way Jenny could go to an event as big as this and not have a
total meltdown.

She's now sitting at a picnic table near the hot-dog vendor. She nurses another beer as
she stares through the holes in the fence, out into the forest beyond.

It was her job to man the decks, as Caroline was one of the only people who knew
how to use them, until another guy came from his break anyways. Playing the perfect mix of
classic 80s pop that got everyone dancing, she clapped her assistant on the back once he
got back and went for a hot dog.

Brushing back her red hair behind her ears as she received the food, she saw Jenny sitting
on her own and smiled, sitting across from her, green dress flowing around her like smoke.
"Having a good time?"
