All editors, writers, reporters must join the Club as members, their position will be
designated in their club member id.


Will be be responsible for the areas of their choice, no more than 3 editors in any one
area. (May create a Senior/Junior Editor distinction later.)

Editors will be given Editorial powers of deletion/edit of discussion posts. However,
under Club Policy, editors should only edit/delete posts which are in their own assigned
areas, unless the post is a clear violation of Club Policy (like posting of porn).
Otherwise, the editor should contact an editor assigned to the area in question or contact
the Editor-in-Chief to have the post edited/deleted.

Editors will be required to post a NEW DISCUSSION at least ONCE A WEEK (unless they have a
leave of absence from Kupika, vacaton, computer problems, etc.) A New Discussion can be
original writing, compilation, or reposting of material from their own clubs or from the
Net/Web, basically anything at all that is topical to their area of responsibility.

Editors will have the general responsibility of monitoring and contributing to discussions
in their topical areas, whether or not they created the discussion or if a reporter did.

Editors will be listed on the Club Description along with their assigned areas and any
links to their own clubs in their areas.

Editors like everyone else may comment on discussions of any topic.

The Editor-in-Chief (that's me) reserves all powers and editing control of K-Zine. I may
promote an Editor as a co-Editor-in-Chief in the future.


Reporters shall be Club Members who have POSTING power to create new discussion threads. 

Reporters will either be designated as freelance and able to create a new topic of any
subject or they will be designated in their areas. Reporters may have up to three
different beats (areas) if they wish, but their articles will be subject to editing or
deletion by the Editors assigned to those topical areas.

Reporters will be required a NEW DISCUSSION at least ONCE A MONTH (unless they have a
leave of absence from Kupika, vacaton, computer problems, etc.) A New Discussion can be
original writing, compilation, or reposting of material from the Net/Web, basically
anything at all that is topical to their area of responsibility or in their beat. Again,
the writing can be original or republishing of gathered material.

Reporters like everyone else may comment on discussions of any topic.

There can be as many reporters as want to be for any area/topic.


Writers are specialized Club Members who will contribute a regular original article to the
discussion at least ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS unless they have a leave of absence. These are
like "Columnists" who may write upon everything from Advice, to Love n Dating, to
Gossip-Girl type reporting, to Cooking, to Poetry, to Fiction (short-story), etc.

So that means a bi-weekly column/posting about your topic or a weekly column/topic or even
daily if you want to get crazy.

Writers again must write Original can incorporate other's stuff
long as most of it is original.

I would like to limit to at most 3 or 4 writers per topic/area.


To apply to any of these roles just let me know when you submit a Join Club Request. If
you know the areas of interest you want tell me then too, or you can wait and decide.

The Role of Editor-in-Chief

In addition to administering the club generally, the role of Editor-in-Chief is to help
the Staff provide quality articles for the club. This includes bouncing things off of me,
talking with me about ideas for your articles and beat, helping you improving your
articles, helping you through your writers block, and just in any way helping you. 

As a master of ceremonies I've got to balance the entire club and make sure that it stays
broadly appealing and diverse and doesnt take on too narrow a focus or a negative
character. I am responsible for the overall quality of the club.


Some Posting/Editing Guidelines

- Staff do not need to have me or anyone review their article/postings before posting,
just go ahead and post

- All "Editing" should be done in the following way. 

The Editor should post at the end/bottom of the original article the edits. Edits can be
clarifications, corrections, additional information, commentary, etc. The Editor should
not actually manipulate, delete or edit the original posting, not for grammar, not for
spelling, not for factual inaccuracies, etc. Only those posts made in the club that
clearly violate the Club's policy can be summarily deleted.

After the Editor has tacked on their edits at the end of the original post, the post
creator may choose either to leave as is, but shall not delete the Editor's edits, or they
may incorporate the Editor's edits in their original article (some or all) and then may
delete the edits. This is done through the edit post function that everyone has over their
own posts.

- Only the Editor-in-Chief should edit a posting of an Editor, other Editors should not
edit a posting of an Editor even if that Editor is an Editor of the same subject/area.

- Editors should only edit the articles of Reporters reporting in the area for which they
are responsible. If you wish to contribute to an article outside of your area then do so
as a comment to the original article.

- Only the Editor-in-Chief may edit the product of a Writer/Columnist.

- Any Editor may summarily delete any posting that grossly violates the Club's policies,
specifically porn, and the like and should inform the Editor-in-Chief of the offender and
action taken. Since only Staff may create new topics this shouldn't really happen as a
topic but if Guests post such material as a comment please delete it and inform me.

- the above applies to Discussion Posts and to Comments posted

yeah i dont see your join request, so you probalby are in too many already...ive got
guest posting in Fun City so you probalby dont have to be a member of that one unless you
inted to make new Topics there..if youre looking for one to drop

Ed: Check with Hina maybe there is a glitch. Anastasia was able to join no problem though.

Um, Mr. Editor in Chief, may I request a leave of absence until the 21st of november?
I'm failing science, and banned from the computer until I can get up the grade.
Report cards are out on the 21st.

sure...but if you get a chance pop in and just copy and paste a movie review or bit of
news or something..

that counts as your participation!

the "rules" about participation are just so that we've got some constant new posts and
such to stimulate club activity..its not meant to be a burden to anyone or very hard..

but i hope there will be a few columnists and stars develop that will get into posting
their original creations and thoughts or movie reviews, music reviews, concert
recommendations, book reviews, etc.

I'll be anything you need me to be. Vegan/Vegetarianism Fashion Health/ Fitness Layouts/ Web design Kupika News are of interest to me, but I'll do any. And do you approve articles first. (IE. Someone sends in an article, "LYK, JOBROS RUL YO.")

ok well Lifestyle actually sort of encompasses fashion and trends and living stuff..

and health/fitness includes eating stuff including Vegan stuff..

and Layouts/webdesign... so i will make you an editor of those areas...


..its probably not clear (and this is just breaking today so its all evolving still) but
anyone who can make a POST can post on anything they want...even if its not their assigned
area.....but the idea is that you would normally post on areas of interest to you....and
you will be REQUIRED to post on your specific areas per the once a week or 2 weeks or
monthly depending on the role you choose or you will get barked at by the Editor-in-Chief
and possibly demoted if you dont do your job..

but if a wild hair strikes you and you want to make a post on something outside of your
area feel free...

the only rule (besides no porn and such)is that GUESTS, non-staff can't make new posts...
