Ok so the way i see it clubs are sort of like a closed bulletin board area that is
dedicated to a topic(s) ...the board can be open for viewing or private....but one HAS to
be a member to post or comment on the post...

Diaries/Kupipages allow others to post (assuming they aren't blacklisted by the owner) but
they are limited

K-Net provides a true bulletin board option for us but although its been up for a while i
dont think a lot of swung over there and too i think its best to stay integrated on one
site.

so my proposal would be either to allow club owners to designate that their club's
discussions can be commented by non-members (maybe make it were only club members may
post a new discussion thread but anyone can comment whether they are members or not)

or

Create one main club that has such an open feature that would allow people to create
discussion threads and allow everyoen to comment on threads without having to join the
club....in a sense it would be a mini bulletin board

(though it would take away even more from K-Net so I would suggest the first option
better)

........

i think being able to see a topic: "do you really like Miley Cyrus" or "Obama vs McCain"
etc and allowng everyone on kupika to be able to comment would be great. it would keep
people interested and talking and commenting on those threads they like..

true, ideally K-Net serves this function....but idk theres just something about it that
rubs me the wrong way...and im not sure i like jumping to a diff site...

......

so what do you say? if you wanted mods for such a club you could just change their
privileges the way that we can do now with our clubs...the only change really is being
able to post or comment as a guest of a club...

Ok... I have added an option, "Allow guest posting", which can be set by the club
founder.
When enabled, non-members can reply to club topics.

Please let me know if you find any bugs/errors.

thanks again for the new feature Hina, its going to really work out great i think and my
latest club

K-ZINE

should work great with it. Can i make one request though? In order to distinguish between
Club Members and Guests

can it be possible that when a guest posts, underneath their name instead of "edit
membership" which sort of implies they are a member of the club (course when you click on
it it says they arent)....can it instead say simply: "guest"

that way at a glance people can tell which are Guest Posts and Guests whove made the post
and which are club members?

But-But... What if, some topics on your club, you want to set it as private discussion
and some topics you want as public?

i asked for that feature/option before..right now if the club is private i assume there
is no guest posting option, if its public you can enable guest posting..

personally i would love to see it possible to allow the thread creator/ or perhaps only
the club admins to make a single discussion thread as designated public...but that might
be tricky programming for hina idk

PS: Hina see above post about changing Guest postings to "guest" not "edit membership" i
dont want that to get lost with this discussion

I have another idea for clubs. But it has nothing to do with the other suggestion. And I
thought it'd be pointless to make another topic anyway since there's already a topic about
clubs. The idea:

Maybe there could be a club feature that sends a message to some Kupika members to invite
them to join. And moderators and the owner can send this invitation to anyone. Or is there
already a feature like this?

----------------------------------------

:OO Another idea! You know the club topics thing? Can there be a feature where the owner
can make categories/pages for each topic? Then it'll be much more organized and you can
find things easier.

i thought about asking for something like that but then youre basically talking about
rampant SPAM for clubs..

people can just do this by sending others a message with a link to their club and say hey
join...

i do that sometimes when i see someone write something on their profile that i think they
migh tbe interested in joining..

so i say NO TO SPAM

......on a similar vein though..i DO WISH that club owners had a BROADCAST MESSAGE feature
that they could send a message and it would blast to ALL CLUB MEMBERS...i think that could
be very useful at times as a club owner to be able to send a message to all club members
at once..

of course one can always make a post in the club about it which is what i usually do when
i want to inform club members of something......but a message to their in box would be a
bit more useful...

Yeah, sometimes club members don't always check the club's new posts (like me) x)

:O Thank you, hina! That's awesome! Kupika just keeps getting better! <3 Gah, sorry to
bother you AGAIN but another idea just popped up! :P What if we could have a club banner
aswell as a club emblem. Lately I've been seeing lots of Personal Banners advertising
clubs. And Personal Banners have to be... Well. "personal". So maybe a club banner feature
could be put in? ^ ^;

Club banner? And it would be displayed... where?

I think it'd take too much space if put in Home.

Hmm... Maybe not on the Homepage. Maybe... Aha! Okay, maybe the login page or when you
click 'Clubs' a stream of Club banners could be displayed there, randomized in order.
Yeah?

btw thanks for fixing the Guest Poster designation that makes it a lot better and easier
to see who are members and who are guests.
