i dont know if anyone else is experiencing this but ive noticed the last two times ive
tried editing my profile..that when those "questions" rotate that the text box jumps
around and goes up...it did NOT used to do that...

so basically the text won't sit still and it makes it very very hard to edit it, you
basically have to jump in and guess at what you are editing without being able to hold it
still and look at it,

what gives?

if hina cant resolve this problem may i suggest that the whole "questions" thing that
seems to be causing it get removed entirely.

i know probably it seemed like a good idea to suggest to new members what to write on
their profiles about themselves but it seems to me that most people, including newcomers
are savvy enough with social networking sites and have already seen other sites that they
pretty much know what they want to put anyways. maybe one individual out of a 1000
actually uses those questions as motivations.

however, maybe this is something that can be fixed like i say it didnt used to happen. but
if it helps i did just recently update my browser version. that is the only thing i know
of that has changed on my end.

I have no problems with this, i don't even know what you guys are talking about! I dont
find anything wrong with the questions system, and to be honest I love the questions
feature and I'd be really dissapointed if it went!
maybe one individual out of a 1000 actually uses those questions as motivations.
I'm pretty sure more than 1 out of 1000 uses them, since I hundreds of profiles using the questions. Before I joined kupika I had never joined another social networking site before, and they were a great help. To be honest, they still are, since I'm not good at writing stuff about myself.
Boom.

click on EDIT PROFILE

at first nothing will happen but then click in the Text box to make a change and the
questions scrolling will begin.

if you move in your text box and arent constantly moving when the question rolls it moves
the whole text box , causes it to scroll...

of course youhave to have a lot of text in your profile to get teh scroll bars inthe first
place, if you dont then maybe it doesnt affect you...

..............

hmmmm there are like 60,000 profiles on kupika that have been created since
inception.....1 out of 1000 was only a hyperbole but that would break down to about 6000
profiles which seems about right to me....all the rest seem to "write their own way" and
do their own thing.

and while there are of course exceptions i would say that most, that is the vast majority,
of new Kupika users have first created an account elsewhere on Gaia Online, myspace,
deviantart, etc. etc. i think they would get the idea just seeing other kupika
profiles...of what to do or put about themselves.

i dont think they need the coaching but my concern isnt whether the questions stay or not
its this problem of making it really difficult to edit the profile or make changes with
out it sliding out view while working on it.

I just tried it, and I have a lot of codes in my profile, and it still isn't doing what
you're describing.
Don't suppose you could post a print screen or something, could you?
Boom.

i will do it from home when im back at home.

I just tried viewing it here at work and the problem doesnt happen. The browser on my work
computer is older and also i dont think javascript and flash is enabled on this computer
at work.

Whereas at home my java and flash is enabled and my browser has been updated.

yeah btw this problem still occurs. the only way around it is to go into my internet
tools and disable ACTIVE SCRIPTING, refresh the page....and then i can make the edits
without it doing this problem.

its a relative simple workaround but still its a bit annoying to have to do that first and
then to change scripting back to active in order to see FT and what not...

That happens to me, too. I just open up a notepad and type everything there, and then
copy-paste it when i wanna preview and save it.
