Better adding friend system

I was thinking that maybe if we can have a better friends adding system. Like a 
possibility  that maybe when someone adds you you can just have a request thingy and click
it then you can accept a friend request :D. Maybe that's a good idea because some people
say they will add you but they don't or some random person adds you and you never once
talked to them.

Gaia has some pretty good mutual adding :O

A good idea also would be for you to actually know when someone added you, and could see
the thing
EX: 
In home page, i see "you have one new add (from someone else)" *click* then i see it in a
page with all the previous adds as well. ittle be like
