when i first joined for a minute i thought it was actually useful.....and i guess if you
put in terms it sort of lets you find peeps with those terms in their profile....

but really the whole thing is pointless. you dont know if the people it gives you are
gonna be interested in being your friend or anything. i think the basic idea is great and
its probably a nifty bit of coding/creating Hina, but it just seems less than useful as it
is.

for one thing it doesnt screen out inactive profiles, or people who havent logged on to
kupika in the last 6 months which i think it should..

but ive an idea.....is it possible to create a nice questionnaire......im not talking a
full on scientific personality thing or whatever, but like a fairly decent questionnaire,
of like where we would checkbox our interests, and put any limitations of age or gender or
location of people we would want to be matched with, and some questions about our
personality or things like about who we are and what sort of person we would like to be
matched with like "shy, clever, outgoing," just for example.
.
and by completing the questionnaire then our profile would go into the database as being
searchable...

(that would address any non-active people since you would have to complete the
questionnaire (so that contingency would be "True") in order to be included in the
searchable database)

and then more sophisticatingly, somehow make the questionnaire answers relevant to the
search so that then simple match can become something much more useful..

and like show even what questions or how much of the questionnaire percentage wise we
matched with the person...like

These people matched your answers 100%, these matched your answers more than 50%

im sure its a lot of work to do it....and im not sure of the return.of fancying it up like
that

but at a minimum i think inactive people who havent logged on in 6 months should be
screened out,

that people should have the option to either opt out of the match or better yet OPT IN! so
that they are saying they like meeting new people using Simple Match and want to be
contacted

and that people should be able to limit who they want to be matched with if they Opt In,
like don't match me with pervy Eduardo

............

well in order to function as matches what i mean is that a typical question could be:

which of the following describes you (only one choice allowed on all questions)

1. shy

2. outgoing

3. artistic

4. brainy

............

then each answer gets a value and matched values match up...see

......

lol and is jesse even around...oh wait i think he is...i put his vid in The Kupika Channel
for kicks...

if u click next to "simple match" where it says "conditional", it would ask u with what
kind of people
do you want to be matched with

and yes Jesse has a new account here xD LOL

Yeah now that you mention that, you can set a preferred age range and gender on
Conditional Match... so we already have that option.

i know thats fine....those things should be kept..

but you miss my point....its not so much about what you can searchfor...but also from waht
people can be searched..

like someone could say...they dont want to be found/searched or matched with someone over
21 for example...

(of course it goes by what they indicated as their kupika age) but at least its
something...there will always be flaws..

get it though? its not just that i want to search for vivavious red heads over 30...its
also so that i dont want to be matched when they search...with xyz when ive nothing in
common with them.....

That makes sense I guess. I'd be fine with adding that feature... it could be useful.

little...boring i guess. but thats just my opinion.
You who think you know it all are annoying to those of us that do.

The main purpose of Simple match is to match you with some random people in Kupika. I
think everyone is interesting in their own way, and it is up to us to interact with them.

You want to be able to:
- describe yourself (e.g. using questionnaires)
- specify what kind of people you want to be matched with
- only allow certain group of people to be matched with you

Hmm.... I am not quite sure how to implement those without sacrificing
performance/speed.

Filtering based on age/gender can already be done using Conditional match. If you were
contacted by people outside your preferred age group, just ignore them.

As for filtering based on certain criterias (e.g. "shy, clever, outgoing,"), I don't think
it will be very effective. Humans are very complex and cannot be "described" using some
labels. By filtering based on some criterias we may miss some very interesting people.
for one thing it doesnt screen out inactive profiles, or people who havent logged on to kupika in the last 6 months which i think it should..
Actually, it does screen out inactive profiles. The threshold is around 2 weeks.
