I don't know if this is considered good for this club, so if it isn't please delete it.

Earlier, someone (I don't remember who) was posting up pictures of dead bodies on the Post
section. I'm all for free speech, but isn't that going past the mark?

its best to ignore the kirsty..........some people cant use good judgment......and she
likes to be provocative......

and technically i dont know if i would call it "spam" per se because i vew spam as being
posts made just to post and with no real objective or meaningful intent (except for
commercial spam which has the intent you will check out the product/service/promotion)

......kirsty seems to be making a statement in a bizarre way or at least has the intent to
shock and disturb people who see the images....much in the same way that a person posting
porn might have the intent to arouse, shock or dismay the audience..

since its sort of a free market of ideas one really cant say that some images are
preferable over others....or one message is better than the next....we can say so as a
community though...by voting thumbs downs on her when she does that or telling her off for
it....or posting something else right away to roll out the objectionable images....

it would be nice if she would get some maturity though..... theres always hope....last
time i talked with her she seemed to be getting better as far as immaturity and all...i
have hope for her yet

You're giving her a win by complaining. Don't feed the troll and it will go away.

Very true. Sadly, this is easier said than done. The troll knows how to entice people to comment, react, go eeww! or something like that. I have said "ignore, ignore and ignore" countless times. No one listens; they still complain and complain. I want to respond nicely to everyone, but when you get the same kind of messages everyday... it's really difficult. I am all for freedom of expression. Posting "pictures of dead bodies" may be one of those expressions. On the other hand, such pictures are not suitable for some people. Especially if done with the sole purpose of trolling, I don't see any good coming from that (except some kind of satisfaction for the troll). So. Is it possible to create a set of rules like @ kupika.co.uk which is not too restrictive? How / where to draw the line? How can we formulate the rule in such a way that makes it clear which is acceptable and which is not? Philosophically speaking, prohibiting pictures of dead bodies = limiting one's freedom of expression. But, then again, is there any benefit to allowing such pictures here? (Before anyone comments that Kupika is a kid website: no, it is not. Kupika is a website for all ages.) I am starting to think we cannot have 100% freedom of expression. Some things have to be prohibited. Obviously, discussion about anything [as long as it's legal] is fine. I am more into the intention of the member, such as trolling and spamming. Your thoughts?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

I propose widespread usage of this site
until people realise, or the world ends - whichever comes first.
Huge & unnecessary signature gap is huge & unnecessary. :3

The world will undoubtably end first. :/

I'd like to add something. Someone's little 4 year old sister saw this. There are children on this site. That picture was not something children should be seeing. Some of the stuff people write on there is not something children should be seeing. My opinion? Take down the post boards. There is enough harrassement through letters and messages as it is.

I'd also like to add this: Please read http://kupika.com/diarypage.php?id=a4950534323d0apebebf for more on my opinion. If you care enough, I guess.

Okay.
Guys.
Sure, the whole dead body thing is gruesome, but if there are little kids on this website,
well, this is the internet. It's not kid-ternet. Everyone and anyone can come here.
EVEN Kupika. Which is NOT a kids-only site.
We can't stress that fact enough.
