Q: "I have oily skin, and I think foundation makes it worse. Should I continue using
A: I recommend powder concealer instead of the liquid. But if you really want to hang onto
liquid foundation, then use an oil-free treatment every night, and the oilyness will
prolly go away.
Q: "I break out when I sweat, like after a sports activity. What do I use to make them
A: Try something with benzoyl peroxide in it. It'll kill the bacteria. Use Neutrogena
Clear Pore Cleanser, which is, about six dollars if I'm correct. Then use something that's
high in salicylic acid, like Vichy Normaderm Anti-Blemish Treatment Cream. It's a little
violent towards your wallet (about sixteen dollars), but that's not the only option.
Q: "I break out during my menstrual cycle."
A: You have to exfoliate and unblock your pores. Something like Clinique Acne Solutions
Clear Skin System Kit will help out alot, since there's a toner, moisturizer, and a
cleanser. Rounds about $30 for all three.
Q: "My breakouts are big and painful. Alot of medications don't even work."
A: You'll need to get this by prescription, but try Differin 0.1% cream or gel. It'll
dissolve oil and reduce inflammation. Begin at twice a week for two weeks, then to one a
day. Also, to dry deep breakouts and prevent new ones from forming, use Minocycline, which
is also available by prescription.
Q: "What's a way to get rid of breakouts without using any medication?"
A: Ha, well that'll take a bit more time. Meanwhile, try lots of lean protein like fish,
chicken, turkey, beans, eggs, and low-fat milk and cheese. Vitamin C; grapfruit, oranges,
strawberries, broccoli. Omega-3 Fatty Acids; salmon, tuns, spinich, and walnuts. Fiber;
brown rice, whole fruit, and whole-grain cereal.
