The town of Bethel is grand. The town is dark, not a lot of people are in the area, but it's the best place for holly celebrations. Many people avoid this place because of the countless rumors and .murders, but not a lot of people can run away. Stores are only open at night, there are barely any children and most of the adults are made up of alcoholics and smoker. On the other hand, Slythia is an ellgent town. It's town is made of the highest riches, too many children, small amounts of adults, and run by fine students of the school who have too much time on their hands. Doors open at five o' clock in the morning, neighbors greet each other in sing-song voices. But, in the night, everything is quiet and the teens at night head outside where they meet and talk about secret things... in order to here them... you must become one of them.

OOC: One question, are the towns separated?

Their adjacent, but have a large wall that separates them.

OOC: Aw, okay. Derek held the hood on his head gripping it on the sides. These two towns seemed perfect, they were made for him it seemed like. One town, Bethel, is mostly barren but it is also full of drunkards, which would be easy to manipulate and to get at. In the other town it was filled with joyous children and people, happy little dreams that could easily be turned into haunting nightmares as Derek saw it. He tried avoiding the sunlight as his eyes were sensitive and could pin point anything. He looked around spinning in a tight circle slowly, scanning the area and townspeople around him. He decided he would start out in the town of Bethel, as it already seemed deserted.

Caden sighed, fumbling with the books of poetry in his arms as he fumbled past the adults that handed out cigarettes and cheered with beer bottles that crashed and fell to the gravel in shards of glass. He wanted to get away, quickly before he was caught in the grip of those who don't know how to live right. He ventured to the great wall and threw his jacket over, aimed his arms and shot over his books to the other side so they wouldn't get damaged. Turning his head, he pulled his thoughts back and went back into the town in another direction, hoping none of the alcoholics got to him.

When Derek took in all the people, none of which were kids and most drunk, he noticed one looking pampered boy. He looked like a prince, to Derek he did at least which just meant someone that had a home and actually had a living and some money. Derek smirked, making his way over to the boy. He cocked his head, smiling politely. "What is someone like you doing here?" He said, looking the boy over from head to toe.

Caden suddenly panicked among hearing a voice speak up to him, covering his head with his hand and peeking out through a small gap. "Excuse me?" His voice trailed and his body was already stiff, lips trembling as he frantically looked around. Where was Neil when he needed him? He gulped and looked to Derek, forcing a smile. He looked and smelled sane than any other person in the town, bt in many of his errands, he never actually saw him before.

Derek narrowed his eyes a bit, looking at Caden in the eyes. He straightened himself and chuckled, he began to walk around Caden slowly making a small skip with his feet. He was intimidating the kid already, it seemed. "You look a bit...out of place amongst all of the other townspeople around here don't you think so?"

Caden watched him suspiciously, intimidated quite easily. "Yes... But what has that to do with you? I'm just.... Running errands for a friend. Problem?" he shook his head, trying to stay focused, if he didn't leave soon, Neil would come looking.

Derek stopped walking and shook his head, shrugging. "No. It's just you actually looked sane. It's not common in this town," he chuckled. He held out his hand, smiling. "I'm Derek."

Caden felt it was rude the way he was acting, almost as if Neil had rubbed off on him. He shook away the insane thought and smiled politely, shaking his hand. "Caden... It's nice to meet you."

Derek nodded, pulling his hand back and dropping it at his side. He used his other hands to hold the hood in place, directly over his eyes. "Nice to meet you too, Caden. So you're doing errands? Out here?"

Caden was curious to know why he was covering his face and head, but let it go. "Yes, they have a great library and shop here that I visit all the time. My friend wanted me to do some errands for him."

Derek nodded slowly, stopping to think for a moment. "They have good shops here...." he murmured, saying his thoughts out loud. "I never would have thought." He looked around, as if trying to find the perfect shop right then and there.

Caden's smile faded as he nodded, "Is everything okay? You're looking around a lot.." Caden grew worried and searched around too, wondering if he was being watched.
