This is the legendary Box Five, which the mysterious Opera Ghost commands is left
empty for him. The subject of much mystery, the Box gives the best view of the stage in
the Opera house, and may lead to the Phantom's lair.

The Phantom's lair is deep beneath the Opera House, and no one save a few know much of it.

Having finished her errands for the night, Souris walked alone in the hall,
contemplating her lack of friends. She was on her way back to her room, when something
caught her eye. The door to Box Five was ajar - something which she had never seen before.
Her enormous grey eyes widened, and she stepped towards it. Looking around her, she
ensured that no one else was out in the dead of the night, she stepped inside, closing the
door behind her. Little did she know that the door locked automatically.

The view from the box was incredible - she could take in the dim outlining of the stage of
the Paris Opera House in the darkness. Excitement coursing through her veins, Souris
leaned against a column, and a loud sliding noise could be heard. Souris stumbled, and
spun around to see that through the column was a secret passageway.
"The lair..." She murmured softly to herself.
Souris had often heard the legends and rumours from everyone in the Opéra about the
Phantom having a lair beneath the stage, but she had never seen proof until tonight.

Upon hearing the door to his lair open, Erik looked over to where he would usually come
down from his best view in Box 5 and pondered over who it could have found the door. He
stood, picking up his mask and placing it on his face before heading towards the entrance
slowly and soundlessly to find the person who had opened the lair, bringing an already
chloroformed hankercheif with him.

ooc: Uhhh... For never seeing Phantom and only hearing half the songs, is that okay...?

ooc: It's wonderful! Just remember you have to take a gondola to get to his main
lair place.

A lump of mingled fear and excitement rising in her throat, Souris stood, rooted to the
spot. Now was the perfect time for a little adventure, yes? After a few more moments, the
young woman approached the column. Not in all her twenty years of living had she
encountered a hint like this on the Opera Ghost.

ooc: Okay!

bic: Moving at the same, silent pace, Erik got to the gondola and wrapped the hankerchief
up in his hand so not to let go of it as he stood in and began to row(or push?) his way
out of his lair towards the entrance, still wondering who it could be.

Not hearing the movements of the boat, Souris took a hesitant step forward, one
foot in the passageway. This was surely the home of the rumoured Opera Ghost - the
murderer of that stagehand, Joseph Buquet. The one who, when last heard from, had
dropped the chandelier, nearly falling on Mademoiselle Daaé! The one who had made
Carlotta croak! The one who had laughed maniacally and scared everyone out of their
wits! The young messenger adjusted her cap, making her look more boyish than ever.

Bringing the gondola to the edge and keeping it still, Erik stepped off and unwrapped the
hankerchief before proceeding to go anywhere. What if they have found my lair and
intend to take me away for what I have done? He thought, but it was much too late for
backing away now. Instead, he hid in the shadows and listened as the footsteps grew louder
the closer they got.

Souris urged herself forward, and found herself walking down a steep catwalk. She
looked around, trying to make out another figure in the dark, but only received light from
a tall candelabra that must have been some ways off.

Quickly and swiftly, Erik came out of the shadows at the person who had entered, the
hankerchief covering their mouth as he held them in place. Strange enough, however, was
that when he held her still he was rather gentle about it, like he truly didn't mean her
any harm.

And then, coming straight toward here, came a figure. A figure whose white
half-mask glowed in the darkness. Too shocked to let out a scream, Souris found herself
being taken quite gently by the shoulder and having a cloth pressed against her mouth. The
handkerchief had been doused in some unfamiliar liquid, but whatever it was, it caused her
eyelids to droop. Souris' world darkened, her eyes rolled backwards, and she fell
unconscious. Her knees buckled sideways and she fell, her cap slipping off as her head
drooped. Now off, her blond hair fell to her waist, not held back by anything, and she
actually looked female for a change.

As she fell, Erik had scooped her up so his arms were under her knees and her back. He
looked at her, the length of her hair, the hat on the ground. He watched her carefully to
make sure she was, indeed, unconcious and when he was sure she was he moved over to the
gondola and placed her in it carefully so not to cause her a great injury or to wake her.
He got in and pushed off, rowing his way back to the lair.

Once they were at his lair, he brought the gondola to the edge softly and then lifted the
unconcious girl out of it and brought her over. He placed her down, finding a length of
rope and binding her hands behind her back so she wouldn't escape and say of what she had
found. He looked at her once more, then turned and left to compose more music, but would
not dare to remove his mask.

Souris had been limp throughout the entire process, not making any struggle or
noise. The time passed, and she remained unconscious, woken by nothing. As the hours went
on, she lay there peacefully, undisturbed.

Erik kept a close eye on the girl every so often, though his main priority was composing
his music. "Why did she have a hat covering her hair...?" He asked himself and paused in
the composing to ponder over this matter. "Her hair's so long... How did she ever keep it
hidden under that hat...?" He looked over at her again and, deciding not to ponder at the
thought any longer, went back to composing.

As the time wore on, the chloroform began to end its toll on Souris. After
almost an hour had passed, Souris half-opened her eyes. What a strange dream, of being
taken by the masked Opera Ghost. As she rose, she felt something binding her. Her eyes now
fully open, she realized, with horror, that she was indeed bound in a sort of lair.
Looking all around her wildly, she caught sight of a man at his organ, composing, and felt
herself go numb. Too frightened to make a noise.

Erik continued to compose his music and, at a time where he felt he should check on her,
he looked up and saw her looking over at him. He paused the composing and stood up from
the organ slowly, moving over to her swiftly and watching her carefully to see what she
would do.
