Hey guys. This is a brand new story I'm writing. It may not be the best 'cause after all
I'm only 11. But see what you think.

"Hey, Amber!" Ricky shouted at me from across the school hall. He ran to me.
"Ricky, haven't I told you this a million times? Don't bother me when I'm studying. I
really need to get an A on this test or my dad would kill me," I rolled my eyes at him.
"Well I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the old cellar with me and Carter,"
Ricky shrugged.
"I'm not going to that haunted old mansion with you, not today and not ever," I replied
gathering my books.
"Come on, Amber. There are no ghosts there. There never will be! Just because your mom-"

"Don't bring my mom up! That's it. I'm done," I hurried away to the school well.

Mom died in a cellar. Before she died she called me and told me ghosts were her
only company. They scared her but they were all she had. I couldn't believe Ricky didn't
know I had wanted nothing to do with her passing. But unfortunately none of my friends
understood. They didn't know how it felt to lose someone you truly loved. They didn't know
and they never cared. That's how it would always have to be. I would be lonely because my
dad only talked once every day before he had to go back to work. And my friends were too
pathetic to even help me. That's the way things were for me. I felt like every day I would
be trapped in that cellar Ricky loved.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid," I sobbed pulling my knees to my chest. There I
sat. With my head buried into my knees. With the occasional chime of the clock tower, and
the constant stabbing at my heart. 'Why?' was the only question in my head that kept
repeating itself over and over.

I hurried down the steps of the mansion. Slimy liquids and moss covered the staircase
while snails and germs covered the rail. "Gleck! This is horrible," I sighed as I slowed
my pace to a trudge. A voice echoed up the staircase and into the library. I quickly
hurried again wanting to get out as fast as possible.
"Why here?" the voice asked over and over getting angrier each time. "Why
here? Why here?"
               "I don't know! I don't know!" I cried as I changed to a run. I slipped once
or twice but caught myself. I saw what was causing the haunting sound. There was a pale
white ghost in the bathroom staring directly at me. He asked the same haunting question.
"Why here?"
"I don't know!" I cried out. He got angrier and appeared once again with a
triton coming closer to me as I watched the points of the triton. I screamed and tried to
run up the stairs.
"Na-ah-ah!" he smirked and came after me. I slipped and fell down
the stairs as I looked into the eyes of a monster. "No!" I screamed in terror. "No!"

My father shook me awake and I saw his worried face. "Amber! Amber!"
I gasped and realized it was a dream.
"Dad!" I cried falling into his arms. "Why did Mom have to go?"

I was having the craziest hallucinations the next day. Everywhere I turned the words
"Why here?" were in blood written on everyone's face. But the scariest part was my mom's
dying face and the ghost on all my teachers.
"Amber!" Ricky caught up to me.
"What?" I snapped at him. "Make it quick."
"Well me and my-" I cut him off.
"No! No! No! No! I'm not going with you and your stupid friends to
that house!" I stepped on his foot and marched away.
"Hey Amber!" Collin walked towards me.
                           "What!" I yelled.
                          "Why here?" he asked.
"Go away!" I yelled running home. My steps slowed me down
unexpectedly. I tried to run fast but I couldn't. I ran for a hard and long time until I
panted. I stopped and looked in front of me. There was the house.

"No, no, no! This can't be happening!" I panted. I looked around the house for any
signs of Ricky and his friends. But I guess they didn't show up yet. "Maybe today is the
day I have to face my fears," I muttered. A second later I heard the running of foot steps
as Ricky pounced up behind me.
"Hey Amber! You came? Without informing me? How could you?" Ricky asked heart
broken.
"I decided maybe today was the day to face my fears," I smiled at him.
"Hey Ricky. Your girlfriend doesn't need to tell you everything. Can't you
figure that out by now?" Collin laughed.
"He's right," I smiled as I gave Ricky a kiss. "Come on. Let's go!" I
urged running through the doors. But I should've known better than to face my fears. I
regretted that stupid decision right when we walked through the doors.

"Whoa! Look at that!" Collin had pointed out a misty figure in the
bathroom. The exact same bathroom as in my dream.
"I think we should go now," I suggested starting to sweat and to worrry.
"No! We can't leave now! That's a ghost!" Ricky exclaimed.
"That's what I'm worried about," I gulped. The ghost stared directly
at me and charged. I screamed. "We should go now!" My friends ran up the stairs and I
tried to catch up to them but I slipped miserably. "No!" I gasped as the ghost urged me
into a cellar. Then he locked me up and left me there. I was locked and hungry.
