Blue is the color of freedom,
The sky that is endless,
The blue of the sea,
rippling upon my tears.
Blue is the color of calm,
Blue is the life-giving rain,
In which we drink up greedily,
As it runs down our bodies.
Creating a song,
A lullaby bringing the worst out.
After twilight,
The lovely midnight-blue stretches,
Scattered with the burning stars.
The sea tumbles,
Gracefully over sand leaving blue shells behind.
The cold moon glares down upon us,
Sometimes a beacon,
A guide,
others a nightmare.
I cup blue in my hands,
let it run down my arms,
dripping through the dawn.
Blue is the color of freedom,
The color of my never-ending dreams.

This is actually a very old poem I kept in my journal. I found it a few days ago.

its lovely....ive got some thoughts about why already...but why in your poem do you say
the moon can be a "nightmare" for some? did you have anything particular in mind?

I was thinking about fantasy I guess. I always have to add something fantastical in my
writings. I can't remember at the moment.
