i think it woudl be useful...if the CLUB OWNER (not just members)....could make a single
or any club pages..Public...

without chaning the option for the entire club...

so for example...i might have my club The Centre set as private as the default..but might
want to make my "Kupikians for Causes" page public to talk about the cause of the moment
that we are supporting...and want everyone to be able to read it..

this seems preferable to a kupipage or diary entry..especially letting things fit
contextually and topically in a club of that topic...

so is this possible? a good idea? hard to do?

It's a good idea, and that would also be a great thing to have public. I don't know how
easy it would be though...

Why not just start a new club with that as the topic?

If it is important enough and will generate enough traffic, then it deserves its own
It shouldnt be a sub club of a club

well a few reasons..

one, the "topic" or where it fits may already be in the club...and doesnt need a whole new

for example: say with my Salon ErotiKa club... there may be a general poll about kissing
for example...i might want to open that page to all of Kupika while keeping the rest for
members only...

and obviously you dont need a whole club just for that...not too mention it would cost 35
kps to make a whole club.....

Diarys and Kupikpages would fill that need
Lets stop trying to change Kupika until the speed problem has been corrected
More added features can only slow it down more

1. there are reasons why one wouldnt want to do what im saying in a diary or kupipage

2. changing the "access" of a club page/particular discussion from private to public or
vice versa...making a public page private to members only ....would have no affect on
overall kupika slowness but it would enhance the overall value of the clubs

I still think efforts should be directed first to speeding Kupika up
Everytime you create a possible link, things have to slow down to make connection

yeah but its not a link...the page or posting woudl already be created anyway..

all we are talking about is who gets to read it...

but would be even better though would be to allow on such pages for non-club members to
comment/post...that would be even bettter..

but even then its not slowing kupika down by doing that

ANY access to the data base will slow it down
Why not concentrate first on speeding kupika up......then work on the other suggestions
I really believe people are leaving kupika because of the slowness and sometimes limited
I dont think making your link will be enough to keep people in kupika or bring others new
