Err....so, when someone set their diary entry to protected (friends are the only ones who
can comment) and if you are not their friend, you can't even say a 'hello'?! -_-

:C

I just wanted to say 'hello' to a certain diary entry, coughaxel'swegotthepowacough, but
it didn't let me since the diary is set to protected and only his friends can comment. :C

My suggestion is if you can say hello to a protected diary entry, it would be good so the
owner of the diary will know that you have read it.....

What do you think? :D

well I think that if that person decided that only friends can comment, is because she
ONLY wants friends to comment...

but idk
it can be a good idea maybe :]

I thought protected meant that, you can't view it unless you are their friend.

'Protected' = can't view it unless you are their friend? How can one then say hello to it,
if one can't view it? : |

I make this assumption from the use of READ in figure one.

Are you sure the person in question did not just select the checkbox in figure 2?

I could well be mistaken, and have been interpreting the diary thing wrong for my whole
life, ahaha.
Huge & unnecessary signature gap is huge & unnecessary. :3

.....Err, I actually don't know what to call it so I just used the term 'protected' to
it. What I meant is the number 2 one. >_<

Sorry if I made some of you confused. XD

In that case, I believe the comments are locked for everybody. Nobody can comment, even
friends.

So I believe.

I think that locking your diary is stupid.
But on the other hand i think that protecting it so that only your friends can comment
isnt that bad.
although id rather have my diary open to the public so i can have a much more bigger
varietie of veiws and outlooks on my entrys.

Why is it stupid exactly, some people don't want people to comment. Not even friends.
I'd keep the locked option on my diaries. Just for that reason.

Well, if you guys don't know the 'hello' she is speaking about, it's the one where you
'say a hello to this diary'. :/
