After practice, Evelyn tended to the garden while the rest of the band members chowed
their breakfast down. "Oh, the roses are so beautiful..." She watered them and gave them
fertilizer, then went inside. Lucia was waiting for her, and stood up when she saw Evelyn.
"Ah, Evelyn, I need to ask you for a favor." She said, clapping her hands together. "Can
youclean the closet out? You can look at the stuff, if you like. There's nothing in there
I need anymore-" Lucia suddenly stopped herself and blushed, something that never happened
before. "Lucia? Are you okay? You looked weird for yourself..." Evelyn said, placing a
hand on her friend's shoulder. " Oh, Sorry, I just spaced out there for a second. Well
anyway, just clean it up if you can ok?"
Evelyn nodded, and walked away from her, pausing every now and then for picking things
up. When at last she got there, when she opened the door, a pile of garbage fell on top of
her. "Ah! What the- " She nearly began to swear, but then caught herself. Dusting her
dress, she got the rest of things down and began looking for something similar at them so
she could organize them carefully. Photobooks were lined up in the shelves one-by-one,
packages were stacked up on top then, and boxes of things were placed on top of each
other inside so that it looked more neat. She was about to close the door when a package
caught her eye.
She picked up the package and hid it in her pocket. Then, closing the door, she said,
"Hey, Lucia, I'm going to leave okay? Take care, I'll be back tomorrow." Evelyn left a
note with all the supplies they needed to buy, then ran out the door, leaving the door
locked. She ran all the way to her house, plopped onto the couch, and looked at the
package. It was an unusual thing, it had her name written on it, and the feeling Evelyn
had when she touched it was shocking but suprisingly sad for some weird reason. Curious,
she ripped it open and stared at the contents in wonder. Inside, there was a letter and a
long rune rod in it. Evelyn ripped the letter, expecting what the unusual rod was supposed
to do, but inside, it read,
Dear Evelyn Lestat,
By the time you read this, I'll already be dead - or so they say. I told Lucia to
keep this package until you come across it, which would probably mean when you're about
fifteen. This rod here is my most prized possession, the Lucarius Rune Rod. You should
learn to unleash its true power. Don't ever forget about us, Evelyn, we, your father and
I, will love you always from our soul and hearts. Please, don't ever give into the
darkness. You will now be transported toSeiyr Academy, where you'll learn more about your
past, live in the future, and think in the future. I've already talked to Ms. Alice and
Lucia already, don't worry.
P.S. This letter is magic. I can keep touch with you through this letter. Don't lose it.
We'll meet soon,my daughter. May the prophency be right with your side.
Evelyn put the letter down and couldn't hold it anymore. Tears fell down her face as she
cried uncontrollably. "Mother...Father... I found you at last after all these years..."
She took the rod and experimented with it, twirling it around. It felf as if she was born
to fight with it, it glided to her hand as if by water, and she swung it so diligently
that her dog didn't even bark. She didn't even notice anything until a loud rustle caught
her attention. "Who is it?" Evelyn shouted loudly in the silence. The noise got louder,
and she began to feel a human aura in her house, quickly, a young man, no less than about
her own human age, pointed a gun at her head. "Come with me, vampire, or I'll put you down
in Hell with the rest of your clan." He said, his eyes glittering with hatred.
