The large brute of a man romped awkwardly inside the tiny, dimly lit room. It was chilly inside, and he coughed as the dust filled is lungs. “Damn stuffy cells. Ain’t no nurse… could be playin’ wid’ da boys instead a luggin’ little brats ‘round…” He lazily dropped his burden onto the creaky cot before coughing, and hurrying out of the room, his feet thumping on the old wood floor. Holly lay on the cot with her hair strewn across her face, and her new, lacy garb wrinkled tightly around her frail body. Her breathing was soft, and even, though she hadn’t fallen deeply enough into sleep to truly dream; yet her mind wandered unconsciously to the many presences in the huge place. Her mind could reach out and sense the other patients; their agony, despair, hysteria, and in some cases nothing at all. Just empty shells; lifeless dolls… She shivered in her sleep, and turned on her side, wrapping her arms around her tiny waist, and bringing her legs up to her chest. The shoes that the nurses had slipped onto her aching feet had fallen off after she had been so carelessly dropped onto the cot, and lay in a pile on the floor, leaving her feet bare. Still, she slept on under the medicines influence.

Perry's prays were answered. After fasting for several days, and keeping herself in her books for several thousand- Her God has finally blessed her with a new doll to play with. A new slave. The men dropped her onto the only bed in the room- Perry's bed- which she had neglected to touch because that's where she made her sacrifices. It was a holy place for the little Witch to cut the rats open and recite the dark contras of her people. It only made sense to the Little witch the Holly was now some type of gift from the Gods. Her Gods. The only God. Perry barely made a sound as she crept from her corner of opened books and near the girl's resting place. Perry's hands had slaughtered many rats there. She curiously wondered if the girl could feel the souls of the animals that she murdered. Perhaps not- The girl seemed to sleep so effortlessly. Obviously drugged. Perry was going to be a polite little girl and wait for the girl's eyes to open... But then Perry remembered she was a Witch and she waited for nothing. Except approval from her God. "Wake up!" Perry yelled and slapped a hand onto the innocent girl's chest. "I have a job for you my dear! A good one! A fun one! But it's dangerous~" "I hear that you are the Lost girl, lost girl!" Perry has large bright blue eyes, similar to the doctor's, but these were wicked. "I love a good story~" Perry sat next to the girl, on the bed, feeling the bodies of dead rats just beneth the sheets. The smell was horrid. Absolutely awful. But Perry's noes was numb to it now. "Explain to me! What makes you lost?~" Perry was very curious- but even more so very thrilled to see a new body that was all hers~! Entirely.

Holly was jolted awake by the sharp pain that stabbed her chest, and seemed to shoot down her spine. Her eyes flew open, betraying the medication, and she cried out, curling up even tighter and wrapping her arms around her aching chest. Oh, why did it hurt so badly?! She groaned, and lifted her head once she realized that she was not in the infirmary where she had fallen so peacefully into sleep. No, this room was dark, and Holly could scarcely make out much of anything. Dust hung in the air like smoke, and caused her to cough as she painfully sat up. That’s when she noticed the smell. She almost retched as it twisted its way inside her nose. It was putrid! Absolutely horrible! She cried out and pressed her hands over her nose to block the smell, and in the process, one of her feet jerked to the left, and softly came in contact with something warm. She lifted her gaze to find a face! Her eyes widened, and she hurriedly pulled her foot away from the girl who was sitting next to her on the cot. The girl had pretty blue eyes, like the woman’s, and the kind man who had helped her sleep. Yet… they weren’t kind, or confused… they were different in some way that Holly couldn’t identify. The girl was beautiful, like a pretty statue come to life. Yet there was something about her expression, and those strange, wide eyes that sounded alarms inside Holly’s’ head. "I have a job for you my dear! A good one! A fun one! But it's dangerous." The girl’s voice was bright and young when she spoke. It didn’t sound cruel, or menacing... but what was this “job”? "I hear that you are the Lost girl, lost girl! I love a good story! Explain to me! What makes you lost?" Holly blinked her wide eyes in surprise. She had heard the term before… the nurses had all been murmuring about it, and one had called her the strange term. Yet, why they called her such a strange thing, she wasn’t aware. “I… I don’t really know. I didn’t know I was lost…” She whispered, her throat still hoarse from its’ earlier abuse. She wriggled on the bed, trying to ignore the putrid smell that hung in the air. And why did the cot feel so… lumpy?

There was an ominous air brewing between the dark air and rotten smell. A very eerie feeling, like you were among a prized relic in a haunted space. There was opportunity, and danger all entangled with nervous uncertainty. Should you stay, or should you go? Holly was just a poor innocent girl whom stumbled upon a very unholy place- despite Perry's attempts to smile - Perry's face stretched into a harsh scowl. “I… I don’t really know. I didn’t know I was lost…” Perry wanted a story! Instead she was told a timid excuse. Perry was the Golden Witch! So if this Lost Girl thought answers like those would be good enough- - "I'll torture you like I did the rats if I find out you're lying." The rats lied to Perry too. They had once been her friend, but the Rats told her a great lie and she couldn't forgive them. Not any of them. Perry's eyes softened just a bit, but her girlish tone became sharper, her words like knives, "Oh Lost girl don't fool yourself I am the one and only Golden Witch. I'll create a horrible... Or give a terrible plague!" Perry got up from the bed, and twirled her fingers like she was holding a magical wand. "I'll turn you into a fly, and squash you, or severe your tongue and stich it onto the back of your neck~" Perry gasped just then, realizing just then that she wasn't being very fair. Perhaps this girl was indeed a very forgetful thing. Perry spun around, making the bright red edge of her dress flare up, and her golden curls carelessly follow. She was a stunning young maiden, but her words were the complete opposite. How could little Perry speak of such horrible things. "Oh! I have the perfect thing for you now! It'll be the most fun you've ever had! We shall steal the Good Doctor's bottle of syrup! Then you'll remember everything!" Perry smiled, her eyes becoming filled with a brilliant shine as she thought more and more about the scheme. "Oh yes!" Perry squealed anxiously, delightfully, laughing as she tug Holly from the bed and made her stand. "You will know by the time I'm done with you! Oh Lost girl~! Fret not! The great Golden Witch, Perry May- which is I- shall definitely help you to know~" "And then you will certainly share with me all the glorious details of how you became your lost self!" Perry was ready for an adventure~ Perry was absolutely ecstatic about the idea. But there was still so many question. What was the Doctor's syrup? Where was it? How shall they obtain it? And why did they need it to make Holly remember? However the proud young Perry didn't seem concerned with a single bit of that. Not one bit.

"I'll torture you like I did the rats if I find out you're lying." It was all Holly could manage to keep a terrified squeak from escaping her tightly closed lips. Torture… like the rats? Just what kind of person was this girl?! The strange eyes of the girl turned hateful, and then softened again, making Holly wonder just how unpredictable this girl was. “Oh Lost girl don't fool yourself I am the one and only Golden Witch. I'll create a horrible... Or give a terrible plague!" She gasped, her eyes widening to huge saucers on her small, pale face. A witch?! But witches were only in fairytales, like the ones she used to read to the old schoolteacher who had taught her to speak so well! Witches were horrible, and ugly… this girl was beautiful! Holly sucked in her breath as she tried to make sense of the girl’s declaration. She pressed herself tightly against the wall as the “Golden Witch” grandly listed off her frightening abilities. Then the girl spun around, blinding Holly with her golden hair, so much brighter now then Holly’s own faded locks. The reminder deepened her despair, and tears stung in the corners of her eyes. How she wished to be able to run to the woman on the rolling cot now… or even the man, she realized, she’d be relieved to see at this point! "Oh! I have the perfect thing for you now! It'll be the most fun you've ever had! We shall steal the Good Doctor's bottle of syrup! Then you'll remember everything!" This piqued Holly’s interest greatly, and she straightened a bit against the cold wall. Was there really such a syrup? Could it really fix her broken memory? She almost smiled at the thought despite her fearful situation. The girl pranced over and pulled her to her feet, which were still very weak, making Holly wonder how long she had been allowed to sleep at that lumpy bed… "You will know by the time I'm done with you! Oh Lost girl! Fret not! The great Golden Witch, Perry May- which is I- shall definitely help you to know! And then you will certainly share with me all the glorious details of how you became your lost self!" Holly practically began jumping up in down with excitement as a childlike smile spread across her face. “Oh, I’d love that! Thank you so very much!” She cried, her eyes practically sparkling. However, a gnawing question wriggled its way into her head. “But… who is the “Good Doctor” Golden W- …Perry May?”

"Oh, I’d love that! Thank you so very much!” Perry was was happy to see that the fear in the Lost Girl's eyes quickly became expelled with a new joy. The Lost Girl lost all concern and carelessly joined Perry in her excited flutters, and jumping legs. "You're welcome! So welcome! Very Welcome!" Perry giddily chuckled as she nodded her head to the other. "You were sent to me for I reason! I believe this it! Truly!" Holly was quickly taken around and around, Perry closed her eyes, still happily smiling, and playfully hopping up and down as if apart of some glamorous parade. The Golden Witch shall help another lost soul! The Lost girl- She will take her to a fountain and lead her deep into those lost memories! Which will then bring Perry a good story to write in her books, and an even better legend to make her live in infamy! The Golden Witch! The Golden Witch! Perry-May could hear the beautiful chanting of her people ring in her ears! The Golden Witch! The Golden Witch! Praise the almighty! Sing to the oh-beautiful! My fair lady! The prophet The prodigy! Oh glory befall thee! The Golden Witch, Perry! Still waving her invisible wand, her hand left hand waved through the air! But there was a chilling thing about her left hand. For she was clearly missing a finger- Her ring finger. A result of just One of Perry's millions of ventures to please her Gods. All just To hear the marvelous chanting of her people, play in her demented head. “But… who is the “Good Doctor” Golden W- …Perry May?” Perry's feet abruptly stopped in place. A question? Perry didn't- exactly care to answer it.... She- him- The good Head Doctor- The Golden Witch They didn't fair well together. Perry shook her head, and shrug her shoulders, as her lovely laughter ceased. The mood changed again, and her eyes darted to Holly, "He is... the enemy of our adventures!~" Perry had a very hushed tone now. But- the words she was saying were nothing but lies. Her head came up with the most fantastic lies, "A terrible man, that prevents our success..." "He mocks me... And even though I preform miracles he still calls me a false deity!" Perry's long black eyelashes curved up like claws, and her eyes became malicious. Perry's hand tightened the grip on Holly's own. "He's a devil, Lost girl." Perry's voice became confident again; no longer a discrete whisper. As she continued a small smile returned. "But do not worry, my friend..." "For I-... The Golden Witch.." "Is far worse."

"He is... the enemy of our adventures! A terrible man, that prevents our success...He mocks me... And even though I perform miracles he still calls me a false deity!" Holly’s mood darkened with Perry May’s, and her eyes grew wide and serious. Could such a horrible Villon be real? How could anyone mock a girl who was so kind and generous enough to help Holly get her memories returned? "He's a devil, Lost girl." Her breathing hitched. A devil! She shivered. This good doctor was anything but! He was evil, and would keep her and Perry from receiving Holly’s memories! She felt tears of anger sting in her eyes. "But do not worry, my friend...for I-... The Golden Witch...Is far worse." She stared into the blue eyes of the girl with something like awe in her own. This wonderful, powerful person would protect her from the evil demon! Holly beamed with relief and admiration before faltering. “But how are we going to get the special syrup from him Perry May?” She peered at the door, wondering what sinister beings lay outside it. “Do you know where he keeps it?”

Perry's friend mirrored her own serious attitude. For this was an extremely dangerous venture- both of them could be caught and swung into the Hell where the Devil's victims have already been thrown. There was no room for failure! Not a single ounce of it. Good thing for Holly, Perry was simply to cunning to make any mistakes. At least- the Witch thought so. But that was certainly all the validation Perry needed. “But how are we going to get the special syrup from him Perry May?” Perry giggled at first, her long eyelashes patted her cheeks as she blinked, matching Holly's own curiosity. How shall they take the praised bottle from the Devil-man? Another good question- Perry again didn't have the mind to answer in this moment, so she came up with another grand verse to help her explain. "How do you think?" The Witch asked rhetorically, springing her arms up and waving them about, laughing, "We shall take it by which ever way we can!" "And you~ Should know that I- a Witch- have many ways~" “Do you know where he keeps it?” This question was a lot easier. But still not easy. "Yes!" No. Of course not. Perry hadn't a single clue. But she new of where to start... "Come my friend!" Perry tugged Holly by the hand, leading her to her altar of sacrificed rodents; that was only covered by a moldy bed sheet. Perry ducked to her knees, and reached under her bed. You could hear the whisper of glass coming from underneath. In another moment Perry brought something back up with her. It was A beautiful glass bottle, with a golden cap, and it had no a dark label with cursive script that clearly spelt 'Gretton Wine Brewery'. However the fact remained, Perry couldn't read. So it was a mystical relic to her, and she confidently declared it as such! "We know what it looks like as well~" "I found this treasure while hunting in the Peace Garden outside the office window of the Devil man. So more of it must be- has to be- inside of his office!" And Perry knew where that was. Perry gave the bottle to Holly, so she could hold the exquisite piece for herself. It was completely empty, but you could tell that there had been a liquid kept inside. "We shall go hunting tonight~" Perry grinned, clapping her hands as if to confirm it. "Oh! But Lost Girl- - We must call you something more fitting. Now that you are no longer actuallylost that is~ Don't you have a name?" Perry asked in a friendly light hearted tone.

Holly beamed as the girl laughed coyly, and somehow managed to be completely satisfied by her answer. She was literally “bewitched” by the confident and delightfully manic Perry May. Then she grew even more delighted when the witch revealed to her a beautiful glass bottle with a cap that shimmered with gold. She cautiously wrapped her frail fingers around its base, and cradled it in her arms. This bottle had perhaps once held her salvation… they would find another, and joyfully fit together all of her missing memories; the faces that floated longingly across her eyes would finally have names! "I found this treasure while hunting in the Peace Garden outside the office window…” Holly inhaled sharply once her groggy mind processed Perry Mays’ exclamation, and her mentioning of a garden. A garden! Her eyes brightened with glee. The idea of traveling outside of this dark, confusing, and dreary place sounded heavenly! However, she kept quiet about her tremendous excitement since she was now on a very important and dangerous mission with a powerful “Golden Witch”! "Oh! But Lost Girl- - We must call you something more fitting. Now that you are no longer actually lost that is~ Don't you have a name?" But of course! Holly had foolishly forgotten the most basic forms of courtesy! She rubbed her eyes wearily; meekly attempting to gather some energy for the coming adventure… she prayed that she would be allowed to nap beforehand! “My name is Holly… though I can’t seem to remember the rest of it.” She admitted sheepishly, suppressing a yawn by nipping the inside of her cheek. “Perry May, do you think I’ll be able to sleep before we go? I’m terribly tired… and I don’t think I’d be able to hide very well from this “devil” if I’m too sleepy…” She inquired tentatively, fearing that her question would bring about some sort of impatient wrath from the Golden Witch.

"Holly~?" Now that Perry knew it, then outwardly spoke it, she cursed it. It was hers now- the name and the body. Perry spun her tongue, and weaved her arms as if she was dancing, because now she was, "I shall bless you, Holly~" The Golden Witch's body curved into a sly mystical dance, as she once again made her way around the room circling her new 'possession'. Now Holly belonged to the Witch of Gold in this asylum. "Please do rest! You must rest!" Perry's began again, her limps going back to her side, because her act was finished. Perry nodded, but then shook her head contradicting. "But not there." Perry pointed to her bed, that was in her eyes, a sacrificial alter. Perry took a look around her room, and finally returned to her bed, again crouching under and taking a bundle of discarded, and beaten linens. Next the witch carefully pressed the sheets onto the floor across the room, "Here you are~!" Perry patted the sheet, dust flying up from the disruption. Perry stood up and went back to Holly's side, taking her by the wrist and leading her to her new resting place. Perry was strangling giggilish now- her mind was drawing the great expedition in her head now. So excited. So greatly- Excited. But there was still many things todo! So many things to prepare! A Witch must be ready for anything! "I'll keep this safe. Sleep Holly~ And wake up ready for..." Perry wasn't sure- but the excitement in her electric blue eyes never wavered. "Anything." And with that, Perry plucked the glass bottle right from Holly's hands and went to go place it back under her 'alter'.

"I shall bless you, Holly.” Holly gazed, fascinated at the smooth, yet somehow erratic movements of the girl. It was like a strange foreign dance… alien-like. It was hypnotic to Holly as she wavered unsteadily on her legs, which were heavy, and shook slightly. "Please do rest! You must rest!" Perry May exclaimed once she had finished her dance, and Holly practically slid to the floor with relief; though strangely enough the witch wouldn’t allow her to sleep on the single cot that lay shoved up against the moldy wall. She hesitated slightly once the girl had placed the soiled linens on the ground, and pulled her over to lie down. Yet, she was slightly afraid to disobey this girl… for the strange, off-putting things she spoke of before where echoing in her mind. Finally, after girl had removed the precious bottle from her hands, she nodded with a small smile, and gratefully sunk down onto the sheets, her face facing the ceiling. She feared the smell would begin to bother her again if she breathed in the odor of the sheets too deeply. “Sleep Holly, and wake up ready for… anything." She shivered, curling up into a tight ball to keep herself warm. She prayed she would be… though somewhere deep inside her lay a fear that sleeping might bring about strange, and troublesome things after she awoke… yet she had to sleep. There was no denying that, or resisting for that matter. As soon as her body relaxed, she fell under the thick blanket of sleep that would keep her warm through her body’s regeneration.

///edit Perry had left the girl, very quickly, and ceremonially cracking open her books once more. Going back to another dusty corner near the door- however the area was chalked with white writings and strange alchemic symbols from another word. The isolated area was Perry's temple of sorts. And she was quietly humbled as she sat with her legs crossed, turning page after page, mumbling words after word. The small drawings in the corner were not the full story- in fact it was barely the summary of it at all. The entirety of the Witch's great spells were actually depicted above. On the ceiling of Perry May's room was the most magnificent detailed illustrations of monsters, and serenities. Chilling white chalk outlined more alien-symbols, fascinating equations, and the they hung about the ceiling like a cluster of stars hanged in the sky. The drawings ranged from the most simplest scribbles, to the greatest finely tuned masterpieces. There were names of critiques, conquerors, philosophers, and deities. Dead men. And Gladiators. The primes And Other worldly. Times, And Places. Dates, And Ancient Relics. It was hard to tell what it all meant- collectively the drawings over lapped one another and even the millions of scentences intersected. Again and again. The roof was chipping away with mold and decay, but the Little Witch's works seemed to be able to outlast all the ultimate ruin. For it was also enchanted. Blessed as it were. ooc: xD lol just when holly thinks it's over BAM. SLAPPED IN THE FACE WITH MORE BAT-SHIT-CRAZY PERRY-NESS.

Just as little Holly had begun to fall under the surface of sleep, her eyes seemed to slightly open on their own accord, completely ignoring her dire urge to finally sleep. Yet, as she peered wearily up at the white ceiling- just why was it white? Holly figured that the ceiling would match the dreary, chipping pain on the walls… Her eyes slowly glazed over the surface of the ceiling, focusing just long enough to make out the strange, erratic, and frightening images that were imprinted there. Her lips parted as a tiny cry escaped her throat, and she rolled on her side to turn away from the madness, burying her face into her naked arms, and holding herself tightly. The position sent a throb of pain into her chest, and she was faintly reminded of the strange swelling… she would examine herself once she awoke… but for now, despite the drawings above her, she would nap. Ignoring the chilly, dusty air, and the strange noises that she could almost hear, she closed her eyes and chomped down on her bottom lip. She would not cry, despite her growing paranoia. As she tried to shut her mind and body down, the “dolls” slithered inside again, bringing their despair, fury, and emptiness. Along with them, she could scarcely feel the presence of Perry May; something so fuzzy, and dense that her mind couldn’t touch it. Perry’s emotions where hidden behind a thick wall that Holly couldn’t penetrate… not would she attempt to, for the air behind that wall, Holly could feel, was anything but pleasant… or safe to touch. Finally, the poor girl managed to drift into a light slumber that soon deepened, and allowed her to roll over on her back without awaking, and peering fearfully up at the frightening markings. Instead, she dreamed of them… of horrifying, murderous stories, bloody battles, torture of the worst kinds… and through it all there was blood. So much blood… gallons of it… and lying hidden beneath every ounce of the scarlet soup, was a golden glint that Holly came to dread. The gold called to her, and reached for her with transparent arms, wanting Holly; waiting until she would be attracted by its lovely glint, and wander innocently towards it… only to be dragged down into all that horrible red And despite her nightmares, she slept, her body growing stronger, and healthier with each passing hour. Soon… soon she would have her memories returned… But who she would be once her mind was repaired… she was strangely terrified to find out…

"Wake up, Holly~" Perry was sitting just beside Holly's make shift bed. The little Witch was sitting on her knees, the bright red fabric in her dress flared up creating large plums. This was a much more subtle wake up- - "We can't afford to wait any longer. My Gods tell me now is the perfect time to steal the bottle.." Perry's voice was a low, but still giddy. You could see it in Perry's bright wide eyes - it was like watching electricity pass through an ocean. Clearly, the Little Witch had all her claws in something deep this evening. Clearly- whoever Perry's Gods were; they filled the girl with unrivalled ambition. Like energy. Pure energy. Perry May rose to her feet, and began to dance around the room again, humming a musical note. "They're calling us into action! We must comply!~" Perry's tiny feet effortlessly glided from step to step, as her body twirled around the room. Perry had the most vicious little curve playing against her lips, which matched the sadistic tune in her head. The Golden Witch stopped dancing after a few more movements. Then she went over to her bloodied alter. There she plucked one of the millions of dead rodents from the bed. The girl was holding neatly by the tale, then she slid it into the pocket of her skirt. "You'll do." Perry turned back to Holly smiling, "Are you ready, Holly?" Perry asked giggling, It's not like it mattered. Ready or not it was time. And she refused to make her gods wait any longer.
