I look at the darkness,
What do I see?
I see nothing,
The reflection of me.
I feel it surrounding me,
Rendering me whole.
Wind flows around me,
Chilling me till I'm cold.
I look in the mirror,
Long black hair,
I hate the looks,
The anger,
The stares.
A tear slips down my cheek,
I open my mouth,
But only sounds I can speak.
Ths one world,
Where everyone is the same,
The warriors get the glory,
Celebrities the fame.
It pays to be different,
A solid, soul-baring price,
In this unjust world where people are either mean or nice.
I look in the mirror,
The scars,
The tears.
I look in the mirror,
The Anger,
The Fears.
I run my hands through my hair,
Smile and pretend I don't care.
I look once more in the mirror,
And what do I see?
I see a strange girl.
She's the reflection of me.

this is a pretty introspective poem, i liked how there was rhyme but it wasnt forced or
patterned more free flowing ina way,

nice imagery and a lot of soul searching on this one
