If you don't know what hotlinking is, click here.

Okayyy, here's the thing. I'm getting pissed that idiots on Kupika are throwing their little "shoppes". They just go on photobucket and search something like "kawaii pixels" or "cute pics" and then they post the image link on their page. Seriously, it's hotlinking And I can't stand it. I've been hotlinked before from some kids on here before. Wasn't pretty. When people steal my graphics, they seriously pay. It's hard to prevent it because there aren't that many nice Kupikans that will report this kind of abuse often. So, back to the main points, what I'm asking for is an option to claim our own photobucket address so nobody else can rip links off it. Example, I upload a picture of my teddy bear and it's hosted under the photobucket "skychord". I put it on my profile. Some idiot likes the picture and copies the image location. They post it on THEIR profile. I enable the hotlink block on my account by entering in "skychord" in the main photobucket account option at the website. And my image doesn't get affects. But theirs will say "NO HOTLINKING!" And this option should also affect all my other pictures. If my main account is "skychord", then, if I try to hotlink, it shouldn't work.
This idea is rather complicated and it definitely won't work for tinypic or imageshack.us, will it? Butttt...Most people DO use photobucket and not tinypic so that's why.

But what if, say, I got to putting skychord on my account before you did? O: I like the
idea but people are dumb/cruel and will probably do crap like that, whether it's purposely
putting someone else's photobucket name on their account, or not knowing what it means and
putting their Kupika username or something else that is not their photobucket username
that could screw over another user.

Long sentence is long ...

Hina needs to accept my new account!

Err, yes, I thought about that and it is tough to decide. The way to prevent that from happening is to erm...verify that the account is yours by entering your password?
