Dx

I can listen/speak to Fuzhou dialect but then, there is no option for that on Kupika.

Can we be able to add our own language?

Would be open to abuse. Does "Chinese" not suffice? I'm willing to bet we don't have many
Fuzhou speakers here. :

I'd rather my suggestion of "X speaks" and "X is learning" be implemented..even though
that's been ignored for 2 years..
Huge & unnecessary signature gap is huge & unnecessary. :3

Every kind of Chinese has something I don't get after it. :<
I can't find any Fuzhou speakers since there is no option.

If you could add your own language, people would invent stupid things and that's just...
stupid. Pointless suggestion is pointless and not thought out.
Surely you could just suggest that Fuzhou be added to the list?

Yeah, but it's only a dialect. xD

People would invent stupid things such as KAWAII DESU LANGUAGE. xD

If we had lulzy mods they could change "kawaii desu" to "weeaboo", and then all the
weeaboos would be outed :P Would be funny.

Still definitely up for the "speaks" and "is learning" suggestions and more slots
though..!

If we could suggest a language and get ten people to thumb up it, then that would be
good.
Kind of like urban dictionary.

Mmmm, I don't think 10 would be enough, there are people with tonnes of friends who would
just do it for them, not because they speak it. I foresee spamming of links and desperate
begging in Post and FT along the lines of "PLEASE (Y) MY LANGUAGE I'LL GIVE U KP" or
something Oo。。(_ _)

I think that 'txt' or '1337' should be a language, so you can be warned away from 'peepl
hoo tlk liek dish'. I and my friends usually speak with a bit of shorthand (stuff like
'u', 'brb', 'wtf?') But nothing near the amount that some people use. It makes them
incomprehensible! That reminds me of...[insert rest of rant]
Pointless comment is pointless.

^If so, txt as one and 1337 as another, because they're a little different. I'd love a
warning against txt talk xD but I guess usually the profile would give that away anyway..

You'd be surprised how many people write well on their profile and not in messages...
...it's just crazy.
Pointless comment is pointless.

Yeah

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_language
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=1337 the THIRD one is the one I mean,
otherwise I still consider it txt talk.

Examples of 1337 :

it would be good to be able to add languages but there should be a way that somebody has
to approve the language before it is added to the list, and people can post about why it
should be approved and whatnot...and if it is silly and people just put it up as a joke
then it with not be approved.
