A new high school in the town. They're the Holmes Hornets. Their colors are
yellow/burgundy.

Mamrie walked into the school and into the office, grabbing her schedule and looking at
it. She also glanced at the map in her hand, looking for her locker. She but her lip,
unable to find where she was supposed to go. She readjusted her backpack on her shoulder,
grimacing at the weight.

Romeo shyly shuffled his way into the hallways of the High School. It was abuzz with
chatter between the other students. Oh how easy they made it look to make friends. His
hands nervously creased the corners of his schedule as he looked around. He finally
spotted someone who looked just as lost as he did. He chewed his lip but his brother's
insistence to try and make friends echoed in his mind and so he pushed forward,
approaching her nervously. He shifted from one foot to the other, "Uhm...Hi. I'm Romeo.
You look like you are lost too and--" He trailed off uncertain of what to say, "And maybe
we can try to find our classes together?" He finished, glancing up from his shoes once
before returning his gaze to the floor. Why was talking to people so hard?

She turned in surprise at the new person who was talking to her. She watched him briefly,
noticing how nervous he was. She was nervous too, she just kept it on the inside. "I'm
Mamrie." She said softly. "Let's find each other's classes, shall we?" She asked with a
perfect white smile. She tilted her head down and looked at her schedule. "Maybe we could
compare our schedules with one another and see if we have any classes together?" She
asked, lifting the piece of paper.

He gave a nod, raising his head and giving her an attempted cheerful smile, though it
came off accidentally as more of a grimace, "Si." He said, quietly and held up his own
paper, creased and folded and partly crumpled with folded and curled corners. Romeo was
nervous normally but talking to a girl only amplified it. Not to mention she was really
pretty. "Uhm...Well...I think we have lunch together. But it's easy to find the cafeteria.
I wish I'd come to Open House so that I could have looked for the classrooms sooner.
Oh...I think we have Math and English together too..." He said, nodding to himself,
"Well...I think the 100s would be on this floor because it's the first, so the two
hundreds must be on the second floor and so on?"

"Okay, lunch." She noted as he talked, more to herself than Romeo. "And math and
English." She smiled, glad to have at least on person she knew in a couple of her classes.
"I think that's how the floors are laid out, yeah." She added, talking to him. Mamrie got
a good look at him as he talked. He was very cute, and his shyness made him seem much
cuter.

Romeo looked around from where they were standing then back at the schedule, scrunching
up his face as he tried to figure it out. He had to brush some hair from his eyes, before
looking back at it. Finding nothing else to say as he looked around for a teacher, he
finally found something to comment on, "What do you like to hobby?" He said, then flushed
and shifted nervously, "I mean-- What do you like to do as a hobby?" He asked, a bit
embarrassed by his slip up. "Sorry." He apologized, before finally spotting a teacher, he
touched er arm, shyly, "Let's go ask him. He can probably show up where everything is." He
said, beginning to walk towards the man, glancing back to make sure she was still
following.

"Hobby? " She asked, her eyebrows raising. "Well, I like to-" she cut herself off when he
touched her arm and talked about asking a teacher about something. "Oh, okay." She said.
Mamrie followed behind him, a couple of steps behind.

Ooc: does Romeo have an accent?

((Yeah, he does, perhaps the most noticeable is his "Th-" sound sounds closer to making a
'D' sound and he rolls his Rs. Occasionally his 'U's come out closers to Os.))

After consulting with the teacher, he turned and grinned, "Okay, I think I know where the
classes are." He said, proudly, before blinking, relaizing something, "Oh, you never told
me your hobbies." He commented, with a small smile and set off down a hall, waiting for
her, "Lets go find all of our classes, I think we still have a while until the bell rings,
anyway. Oh, and we should probably find our lockers, too. But I think those are down this
hall, too. I have locker 35, what one do you have?" He said, rambling quietly, before
realizing this and pressing his lips together, "Sorry. I'll shut up now."

She laughed softly. At least he was talkative now, however he did like to ramble. "Okay.
Let's find our lockers, and then find our classes, because this back pack is getting
heavy." She adjusted the pack again on her shoulder, wincing. "I have locker 38!" She
exclaimed with a smile. That would mean they weren't that far away from each other. Mamrie
looked at the lockers near them.

Romeo shifted a bit and offered a tentative smile back as the proceeded down the hallway.
It wasn't hard to find their lockers, bright, shiny and new. He looked at them with wide
eyes, finding his fairly easily. There were a few kids hanging around their ockers and he
shifted, nervously, worried that they were staring at him. He stared intently at the
combination for his locker on his schedule, and began to enter it, taking a few tries to
get it to work. Once it was open, he began to unload his books except for the one for his
first class and the matching notebook for that subject, along with a pencil, that he
tucked behind his ear. Once the books had found places, he set to putting up some pictures
of his family, mostly of him with his brothers or parents. He finally hung up his jacket
and his bag, giving a last look over and carefully closing the locker, "R-Ready?" He
asked, approaching her and giving a smile.

Mamrie found her locker and entered in her combo for the locker fairly easily. She
glanced at Romeo from the corner of her eye briefly as she put her things in her locker.
She got out her own textbook and notebook.she kept her small satchel on, and slipped a
couple pencils inside and closer her locker, fiddling with her hair. She turned to him as
he approached and smiled back. Mamrie nodded and turned towards the direction of the
classroom.

"What class did you have first?" He asks, tilting his head a bit, before glancing down.
What an odd pair they made walking through the halls. "I have Biology first." He said,
glancing down at his schedule and over at her, trying to see the book for her first class.
He said, nervously stopping before the stairs up to the second floor, squinting at the
paper to decide what floor the Biology classroom was on.

"I have.." She trailed off looking at the paper on top of her text book. "Chemistry." She
told him, looking up. "Aaand, it's on the third floor." She groaned a little. Stairs hurt
her feet tremendously. Mamrie ran a hand through her dark blonde hair. "Where's your
biology room?"

"Mine's on the third floor too. Room 304." He said, looking up the stairs, "At least we
can suffer walking up that far together?" He said, shifting from foot to foot, "Let's head
up, then." He said, looking away and beginning to walk up the stairs, "So, why did you
come here? I moved here with my older brother because I wanted something new. I guess it's
kind of silly." He said, looking at her curiosity in his eyes.
