I like this idea, and I think children(14 and under) shouldn't see names that have b^tch
and f*ck in it. Even if they are display names. It's just not right.

This isn't a kid's site but it's better if these bad words weren't in people's usernames.
So we can prevent the bad influence.

I think it should be optional
If they want to act like they are cool
and immature let them
its their loss right?

Last edited by ‹+゚*。Magical Artemis。*゚+›, 2 August 2009's not like Kupika can be the only place where kids can see swear words. Even if
Kupika has this feature or rule, other kids (or teens) may go on another site and
eventually learn swear words there, or hear their family member swear. So either way,
they'll still learn it. ):<
It's up to them if they let it influence them, though.

Well, actually, most sites banned people who have swear words in their name so I
appreciate those sites. ^^ Even if most of the members are older such as 16.

Habbo got a swearing filter.
They change the swear word into bobba.
And for the names, they get banned.
They also banned you for having a very long name.

But I bet Hina will not banned people for swearing or having a long name.

Yes, Hina wouldn't ban people because he (I think) values freedom. :D

In Puzzle Pirates, swear words turn out as:

f*ck = scupper (f*cking = scuppering)
sh*t = barnacle

and other things. ^_^ (But if you try to overcome the filter by typing f.u.c.k. then,
you'll get banned.

It would be fun if Kupika also did that. XD

I think people shoudn't use swear words in their names because young children might
learn them then repeat them to people and then get told off when it's not their fault!

I don't think it matters much. People will be able to overcome the rules in some way,
children and teens are smart enough to find loopholes. They will learn swearwords anyway.
The first time I learned swearing it was putting up my middle finger. My older brother
taught me when I was 3. After he showed me I went through to my mum and dad's room and
made my dad curl up all his fingers till only the middle one was left.

Children will learn swearwords no matter what we do

People are gonna either find a way out of it or hack it.
Anyway, I've only seen one or two people swearing in their account names/display names.
Although, a lot of people copy hina's profile and paste it in their own, randomly...
Pointless comment is pointless.

Erherm, if they just filter it to another word like "Kupoo" for f*ck and "Kupee" for
sh^t, then it would be much better.

I can but still, not many kids know how to hack and use codes.
And if you use the Kupi-filter, their names would be "KupooMe1927" or something like that
instead of the other one, "F*ckMe1927".

There's no point, because swear words are visible in other locations on KCOM.

Also, a few months back, the topic of blocking swear words of POST was brought up, and
Hina rejected the option, so I doubt he's going to agree to this.
Also, it will waste server space, which is the main issue with all the pointless ideas
people invent in this club.

Finally, what is wrong with swear words? Surely they are nothing more than a way to
expression one's self? And what is wrong with expression? The majority of us live in
countires with freedom of speech, so I would say it's wrong to deny people from saying
what they want.

I just knew you were gonna say that ^_^
but yeah, it isn't really that much of a problem.
