Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
And they were all yellow

Keith's eyes lit up within a breath of recognising the first note, and on a reflex,
he started singing along. He pushed the toast under the grill, wiping his hands on
Em's bright pink apron as he span around, beding at the waist to look (upside down)
at his toast, waiting impatiently for it to go brown before putting the cheese on.

I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow

Although the man's singing was nothing spectacular, he certainly made up for it in
volume. While he waited for the toast to brown off, he span around the room in a
vague, happy sort of dance, ending with a flourish before pausing and adding the
cheese.

So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow

Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
You know you know I love you so
You know I love you so

He caught his lopsided grin in the mirror, facing it and miming playing the guitar.
There was a click, unnoticed by the air-guitarist, and a figure leapt on him, arms
around his neck and a kiss planted on his cheek. Keith turned swiftly in surprise,
catching Émilie's hand and placing the other on her waist, entrapping her in a swing
dance, his (rescued) cheese on toast forgotten as they span around the kitchen, both
singing along.

I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
Cause you were all yellow

I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow

The couple slowed down with the music, bright blue eyes gazing into warm, chocolatey
brown ones. "Marilyn Monroe taught me that dance" He smiled, holding his partner
close as they both sang along again.

Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know

For you I'd bleed myself dry
For you I'd bleed myself dry
It's true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you

Look how they shine
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do

As the song ended, they swayed to a gentle halt, lips pressed together as they stood
in eachother's arms, safe and home at last, surrounded by the smell of burnt toast.
This was home.
Whatever it felt like to anyone else, this was home. Where they were meant to be.
Safe, together, happy.
