Death is my lonliest embrace.
I'll kill to discover
Just one last trace
Of each other.

Take my hand.
Grasp it tightly.
Attempt to understand,
Why I am crying.

Rip at me more.
Shred my sunken heart.
Tell me we're for sure,
But then somehow we fall apart.

How can I keep breathing?
Break this suffocating skin.
How can you keep repeating?
My decomposition will begin.

Push me to the afterlife.
You abandon my body; still ripe.
Instead of plunged the knife,
You should have saved the loving type.

The vultures devour my corpse.
The uniforms collect my bones.
You may not have done this on purpose,
But you are guilty; your actions were condoned.
