It's another of Kyun's stupid ideas! RUN!

Okay no really... I just have this really dumb idea that crossed my mind.

What if a band of artist join together to make an art shop where people can request
them to oekaki whatever? Like the requester can just post the request, an artist of
the group can go and claim it...

actually... they can just have their own page of request anyways... :/

...yeah, okay. That's kind of retarded actually. ._.;

Nevermind, nevermind.

But just putting the idea out there. XD I have no idea how it'd work though, if
anyone has an ideas, I wish to hear them.

(Yeah, kill me for being the harbinger of retarded ideas. >.e)

And this has been another spammy diary of a stupid idea of Kyun-yo! :D

that's a good idea reminds me sort of like gaia lmao you can make a
leader of the artist band and make a diary sort of like this and show
examples of our arts and people can request them or even do works
together like team work using photoshops in stuff lmao thats my idea i
think your ideas would be pretty darn awesome xD i hav no obligation
for this and making liste entries and posting up the previous arts the
artist has made like that kind of stuff but it can be a lot of work
for the leaders

I think that would actually be a very fun idea.
It would be great and who knows, maybe meet some new people out of it.
Kyun_yo says:   17 July 2009   362384
Yeah... it's actually very confusing. XD I was thinking of it like:
"Who do you want to draw you a kaki?" kind of thing.

But then again, most of the artists have their own request thing.

Thatd' be cool if it was collaborative work though. =O

I like the idea. Some artists do have a request thingy page, but if
you do this it could be simpler. .? When it’s one with a request/art
trade page, you’ll have to go to the profile and all. It's not that
hard of work, which isn’t the point, but with a club and you can
find everyone there at once. It could be troubling and repeatedly hard
work for the leader, but maybe there doesn’t have to be one .[?]

I do see it could be complicated at the same time. ♠The requester
could also choose someone specifically to do it? :0
That could probably offend an artist.[lolwhut?] I'm thinking too
negative. Maybe let's not add that one in/♠<--

Still, I'm not going to run. I like this idea.

Actually I was trying to base this off a graphics' request shop since
I did open one in a forum. I had recruited people to work in it, and
people would request so and so to do so and so.

I was thinking that the set up could be like that... but.

The problem is the KP factor and the fact that wasn't there. =o

I was thinking that it would have an individual page, but pages could
have endless comments so that would be kind of-----

We could make a 'request' club. Where people who take in art request
and such can make their own topic in the club and people go there to
post. o. o

(then again Oekaki Blackboard is dead at the moment so...huhuhu. It
could die really. -__-)

Nah everyone has their own preferences. :/ I guess.

instead of art shop, we could make a collective Request club. o. o
Gather all the atrists doing requests and smush them in one place =o
‹Luvvy♥› says:   17 July 2009   579573
Kyun you can do what you said ^
You could make a club for request.
Grab all the people who do request.
Then voila.

But there might be competition in the club.
And people who don't get much request must feel you know.

Are you taking people request in oekaki or paper!?
There are loads of people who do paper request most.
Problem with Oekaki is that you need to pay for it.
Kyun_yo says:   17 July 2009   892395

Competition... hm... xD I think requesters love having tons of
pictures of themselves, so they'd run around and order a pic in all
the shops.

And you're asking me? =o;

-hates paper- :D Yeah paper request sounds reasonable, but my scanner
sucks. It's really up to the people though.

i think you could do an art shop, though i too have no idea about the
oekaki lovers and kp, since that would be kind of hard...

and i think that determined artists might be willing to do co-art type
of things? i mean, it would be hard for those who do paper but
scanners are cool, for those that can do that, and maybe some artists
(reeeally determined ones) would live close enough to each other to
cooperate ^-^

and oekaki or paint artists might have a nice time sending it sort of
back and forth...

actually, burn this comment.

your idea is good though...
Kyun_yo says:   17 July 2009   894399
...xD I collabing could be fun. There could be psd files if two
people shared photoshop? Or things like that.

It's be really fun I guess. :D

Great idea. xD

I duno... I'll just play on this idea... I'm not that confident to
make it yet. XD
brigoesBOOM says:   17 July 2009   292177
This is a great idea :D
It also sparked an idea in my head.
Whoever would be up for it, a bunch of artists could collab together
on one oekaki.
You know? Like one person starts it with something, then anyone who is
involved adds a little something as the previous person publishes it.
I think it would be alot of fun.
But then again, it would take a ridiculous amount of cooperation
between artists xD
Kyun_yo says:   17 July 2009   446827
XD Ahaha that's true... I guess when that happens we should all turn
to paintchat or something like that. =o

I guess it'd be a cool idea of "Let's try to smush as much OC's in
700x600 canvas!"

...actually that'd be an awesome idea. xD
MorbidLittleParasite says:   18 July 2009   156613
I think a request group would be an good idea. It's sort of like a
non-professional art studio company sort of thing.

Everyone can look out for each other, making sure they get their
commissions out as soon as possible to clients, give ideas on how an
image could be done, give each other critique and tips...etc.

There could even be just one account a group of selected artists use
(negotiating and organising when they're using it for a commision,
since it's 3 oekakies per day. Maybe use a time slot system)
It could have little bios of each artist using the account with links
to their dA or oekaki page.

Also, I think it would be a bit mad if there were more than 5 artists
in one group, so it would be best if you have to request to be a

If you do go forward with this idea, I'd be happy to join the wagon.
It sounds like a great team work experience .
Kyun_yo says:   18 July 2009   113361
Hm... well... sharing one account can be somewhat confusing, so I was
thinking of going with the idea of having a three-man or two-man

Though it'd be rather messy with one account. xD As well with the
three oekakis per day limitation is rather off-putting.

I would go with the idea of clubs where individual artists can post up
their own request shop.

But for those that want to work together (collaborate or such), they
can form their own art circle (made of two-three people) and take
requests like that.

There could be many art groups of those artists and then there could
be something like a ranking system to see how much commission they
have done for people as that group. -shrugs-

xD It'd be fun to have our own little separate groups...

And I was thinking that if they get a little bored with their own
groups, they can disband their circles and remake it with new people
in the group.

Basically what I would do is make a club for all people who do art
request and art trades. Artists can set up their own individual shops
and requesters can post their request.

People that want to join a collaboration has to contact two-three
people that wish to be part of the circle and then start the circle's
request shop. Those involved in the circles can't have their
individual shops open (otherwise it would be double-duty.)

Requesters can request whomever they wish, but to keep it fair, the
better artist would only have two slots open, while the other two have
three. That way the other two can be able to draw more requests
without having the favoritism of the better artist come to play.

Artists in the circle could exchange ideas, contact the other for
help, for example if they cannot do a certain thing, they could
publish it, and have another artist of their circle do the rest.

Also artists can collab on a work using the method of 'alternating'
the WIP.

Artist A draws part of picture, post it. Artist B takes the picture,
adds his/her own thing, post it. Artist C takes the picture, does
whatever, and posts it. It will alternate like: A-B-C-A-B-C, for

Or they can split the duties of: pose, lineart, details, coloring,
shading, etc.

And as said above, when art circles become 'bored' or don't feel
inspired, they can disband and join to make other art circles.

Then again, I doubt anyone would do that, but we'll see... xD

Anyone like that idea?
‹Luvvy♥› says:   18 July 2009   257469
You could take pictures if its a paper one.
Thats what I do.

Scanner never really cross my mind.
I have a scanner and I haven't used it.
Scanners are not good.
They kinda change colours.
Thats what my scanners so.

And I like that idea.
Working with other would be pretty cool.

That's a great idea!! ^^

You're art is amazing enough by itself so with other people you'd do
really well!
