Sometimes... this house is a tad big for me. With such a large and comfy living room
interconnecting to the dining room and the kitchen, it's just enormous. My sis and I
challenged each other in a game of "baseball". Funny on how we did it, pillows and
more pillows. Without asking permission from our mom, we just grabbed mom's big
pillow and several more from her room. Boy, we'd be in trouble if she found out...
which she will but who's caring?!
"Hey batter, batter..." my sis said to "encourage" me with. To miss!
I swing with a WHAM! The "ball" flew and pheeew! Right on my little brother; I
started with a ferocious sprint towards first when BAM! I got whacked right in the
face by the "ball". With a hit like that on me, I tumbled a few times before
colliding head-first into the wall.
With a moan as I steady myself up, I mumbled. "Ow... did ya havta hit me that hard?
There is a word "going easy" ya know?"
A solemn stance of her hitting me again hovering over me, she smiled and proceeded
with another BAM! on me then called out, "YER OUTTA HERE!"
We continued playing our version of baseball for a good number of hours before our
mom came home. She's a strong one, carrying 6 bags worth of groceries. Psst, they're
plastic bags with the double bagging. I could see the ticked off look on her. I
whispered to my sister that she's going to smite us down with her "lecture". Gosh I
was right on that part; for the next hour she just told basically everything there
was to explain why playing indoors is a tad bit hazardous especially with all the
goods that we've gotten from our friends all over the world. Her lectures are often
times fun and meaningful since she always kept telling more and more about her life
when she was little like us to us! Her stories were like stories by themselves. How
she managed through a hard childhood without support from any of her parents. Even to
the point that she started working at the age of 12. All of our experiences and
knowledge on how the world works mainly derived from her vast experience of her life.
Here's one of her everyday quotes to us. "Remember to dedicate yourself to your dream
goals. Dedication and knowledge is always a big and well-earned key to life and
So after she gave us the "stern" lecture, we watched Titanic for the first time...
and boy I was emotionally impacted by it. The music to the movie was tremendously
right-on! Right after the movie, me and my family ate rice with soup, throw in a
couple of fried pork and there we go... DINNER!
We all slept in early at around 7 A.M. although mom stayed up longer to watch some
horror flicks at night plus some gorgeous C.G ones shown only at midnight.
The dream I had. It was so peculiar. It was if I was...
End of "chapter"
Will come out with more. :3
