Mayhem in Midtown Manhattan 2

I looked around no one wanted to help me. I went up to the police officer and
told

him my story about Olivia but he did not care.

         “Please, Sir!” I shouted.

“Well…. I can’t. I’m sorry. I have to go do my job.” He said
quietly.

At that point I knew I had to get out of here and go find her, without anyone’s
help. I left

the fashion show and took the taxi. I am sad I have to leave but I had to find
Olivia. I was

scared about what I was going to find.

“Where do you want me to take you?” said the taxi driver.

       “Huh? Sorry what?” I asked.

“Where do you want me to take you?” he asked again.

“Um….. Take me to the Bronx/” I told him.

       “What the BRONX?” he yelled.

“Yes…….. Just take me there.” I told him.

“Why do you want to go there?” he asked without hesitation.

“For a taxi driver you ask a lot of questions.” I said angrily.

“Ok gosh I was just asking.” He said impolitely.

“Just move the CAR!” I yell. “And I will tell you on the way.”

Finally he moved the car and I was on my way. I told him my story about Olivia.

“That’s my story and why I am going to the Bronx.” I said.

“Well…….. I want to help you.” He said.

“Thanks but there’s nothing you could do.” I replied.

“As I recall, I am the one who knows New York and I live here, so I can
help.” He

yelled

turning around and looking at me. I stared at him for a moment, looking at his dark

brown eyes, and his spiky black hair. He looked like he was 17 years old and I could
not

say anything to him. I forced myself to say something but still nothing came out of
my

dried up mouth.

“Say something.” He said waving his hand in front of my face.

“Huh?” I said coming back to reality.

    “Are you ok?” he asked.

    “Yes I’m fine.” I answered. “It’s a green light.”

    “What?” he said puzzled.

“A green light. I mean traffic light,” I told him.

“Huh?” “Oh, yes. Thank you.” He said politely.

“Your welcome.” I said with uncertainty.

I heard people cursing and yelling at him to move and he was yelling back at them. I

stayed quiet until we moved ahead. I did not talk for the whole ride there. We
finally

arrived. He parked the car and I got out.

“Here and Thanks for driving me here.” I said politely.

“No problem, keep the money I think you need it more than I do.” He said.

    “Thanks.” I said quietly.

“I’m coming with you.” He said, while getting out of the car.

“What? Um….. No, I think I have to do this on my own.” I told him.

“But I can help!” he yells.

“No, thanks, I don’t need help!” I screamed and walking away.

I started walking and was looking for her. I did not know where I was going but I
know I

will find her……. Somewhere. Ten minutes passed and I was lost. I saw people
looking

at me and then I came to an alley. I was not sure if I should go down is or not. The

people started to come closer to me. I could not move, I just stood there.
