(1 thess. 5:18 ) 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for
you in Christ Jesus.

Give thanks in all circumstances. Not for all circumstances, but while you're
in them.

Please seek to live a life of thanksgiving.

(Colossians 3:12-17) 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against
someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you
were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you
richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns,
and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And
whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.

We are kindly asked to put on thankfulness daily.

We tend to be negative. And sometimes the heaviest word in the English language is
the word 'again'. Imagine the last time you spoke or heard one speak like so.
"Well. I screwed up. Again." or "Again. Things have only gotten worse."

Those are statements I've made more than once.

How do we live a life of thanks giving? Simple but true, it starts with thankful

(Philippians 4:6) 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by
prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

(1 Timothy 1:12-17) 12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that
he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. 13 Even though I was once
a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in
ignorance and unbelief. 14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly,
along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came
into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason
I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his
immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal
life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and
glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Good luck. I hope you who read this have an easier time being thankful, dressing
yourself with love and kindness, and keeping from being anxious than I am having.
