A cold wind blows.
She looks down.
Sees the city lights, all the cars, all the people.
It's almost midnight she thinks.
How funny, the city is not yet asleep.
But it doesn't matter.
She wont be here long.
She left them all behind, all asleep in their beds.
They wont know until morning, or the news hits.
She'll be long gone by then, because she learned, life is not a fucking fairytale.
She's going to jump.
People have noticed her.
A crowd gathers, police are called.
They try to get her down.
She's not going to listen.
Why should she?
They are nothing to her.
She leans forward looking down.
But she has not noticed the boy behind her.
He's about her age too, he looks concerned.
He knows her and he wants to help her.
She doesn't recognise him, but she should.
He begins talking, but she won't listen to him.
She thinks he is nothing to her.
He reaches forward holding out his hand.
She looks at him, he looks scared, and worried.
"Please don't jump"
She, shakes her head laughing, and with that, she leans backwards.
Beause she thought no one cared.
Because he knew he loved her.
