Mana grasped onto Eichiro's waist, in fear of falling off Taheiji's back as
they flew to Arisa's home. A question suddenly flew into her mind.
"Eichiro, what was my mother's name?"
Eichiro was caught off-guard, and hesitated before he responded.
"I...really don't remember. I know I've heard it before, but it fails me. I'll tell
you if I remember."
It wasn't the answer Mana was hoping for, but she would have to accept it. She could
only pray Eichiro would remember. If she had come from this world, she could very
well still be alive and well! But if Shikuro had already got her...
No! I have to keep high hopes! Mana fought the thoughts out of her head.
Chinatsu flew up beside them.
"The castle is near! You should start your descent!" She called. Eichiro nodded, and
Taheiji lowered his nose in a steep dive. It felt like a dive on a roller coaster,
but much more dangerous. Mana squeezed Eichiro's waist, horrified of falling. It was
a long and horrifying dive, but they made it to the ground in one piece.
"Uh...Mana? Can you please let go of my waist?"
Mana quickly released him, shocked she was still holding him. What was it with her
Mana looked around at her surroundings. She didn't see anything but forest. But she
was wrong. Righit in front of her was a large castle.
And what a castle it was! Hundreds of trees had woven together to make a huge
structure. It was covered in Ivy, and was almost invisible. It was a sight to behold,
yet barely a sight at all. Chinatsu flew ahead of them and led them into the castle.
It was just as magnificent inside as it was out. Tree trunks entangled with ivy were
used as pillars, a few pieces of art covered the walls. It was made of marble, it
could easily be mistaken as a greek temple. The art pieces behind glass were made of
different coloured leafs that were put together nicely to create pictures.
They were led through corridors and corridors. Mana wasn't sure when it would end!
But they soon reached a large room, which Mana assumed was the throne room. At the
end was a she-elf.
She had long blonde hair, and wore a circlet as a tiara. Her tunic looked more like a
bikini, dyed green and trimmed gold. Fancy boots went up past her knee's, almost to
her upper body. At her side was a decoritive bow with Black and white feathers on
eather tip. Wrapped around her was a green dragon. This dragon wasn't like the others
Mana had seen in movies and books. This dragon was a lot smaller, and had a ruby
encased in it's brow. It looked like it was made for speed.
Chinatsu flew ahead of them to the she-eld, which Mana assumed was Arisa. She
whispered to Arisa some things that no human could hear at their distance, and she
perked up. She get up and left her dragon to greet her guests.
"When I heard rumours that the prince had returned, I was shocked enough. But when I
heard the Chosenplayer had arrived as well, I had to get you two to make sure. And
the rumours are true!"
Arisa turned to Eichiro.
"Exuse me for being rude but, how the heck are you still alive? Everyone thought
Shikuro had gotten you and fed you to his dragon!"
Shikuro has a dragon?? Great...
"Never mind. You can tell me later. Welcome back." She nearly spat out the last
sentence. Mana was a bit shocked at this.
"Good to see you too, Arisa" Eichiro replied with a smile.
Arisa turn to Mana.
"And you are the Chosenplayer? Hmph. I was expecting someone a
bit...older. More responcible."
Mana didn't like the elfess very much. She seriously had a grudge against humans.
Arisa and Eichiro started talking about the politics of the place, and Mana soon lost
interest. The three walked though the corridors, Arisa and Eichiro talking, and Mana
tagging along, looking at the artwork on the walls. They soon reached a room which
looked like a shrine. Slabs of Carved marble were along the walls. Mana examined
them. They showed art of a war, with elves and what looked like short humans.
Dwarves, maybe? the next one showed a human playing a flute that looked very similar
to hers. In fact, the human looked a lot like her...The next one showed the girl on a
dragon fighting. Mana didn't really get the story, but maybe she would learn it
Arisa suddenly turned to her and started asking her basic questions. What her name
was, her age, how she came here...Mana told her about her flute. This caught her
"Mana, did you bring your flute with you today?"
Mana reached into her pack and got out her flute. She handed it to Arisa, who studied
it carefully. After a few minutes, she game it back to Mana.
"Indeed, you're the one chosen to help us. Though i'm not sure why..."
Mana didn't want to stay here any longer the she had to, and Eichiro seemed to
notice, and asked if they were done. Arisa dismissed them, and the quickly made their
way out of the castle. Eichiro looked like he had been bored and a bit uncomfortable
too, so they both hurried to Taheiji. They both hopped onto his back wordlessly, and
Taheiji took off. It wasn't until halfway back that someone finally spoke.
"That was your mother's name. KaoruKasuga. But as I recall, she was more commonly
"How did you remember?"
"Arisa and I were talking, and I'm not sure if you were paying attention, but if
she's right, Your mother is living in Galbix right now."
"Could we go? How far is it?"
" It would take months to get there by foot."
Mana's head and spirits drooped. They said nothing more until they were in Giaga
A/n: Sorry I took so long, and sorry that it's so short! When the chapter is boring,
you really don't want to write it. But I finally got it done! And the story will get
more interesting now, and It'll be better! Promise!
