Sometimes you look into the sky and your heart drifts off about finding the one true
person who will stay by your side. It’s sometimes a hard concept to think that maybe
that person would never come, and it hurts at times.
A sway of pure black hair in the winds waiting for the bus to come for the first day
of school. Her eyes glued to the ground as she shifts around in her camouflaged
pattern clothing and the creaky fanfare of the bus finally comes.
Everything just seems tedious, the day just slowly moves by. Until lunch. That’s the
time where everything gets confusing. No one knows what table to sit at, where their
friends are. They just move with the crowd. And when you finally find a table and
your friends there’s always a new kid.
“Hey guys. He’ll be sitting with us today. Maybe for the rest of the year.” Everyone
just unenthusiastically waves and hopes for the day to hurry and they want summer
back. The times on the beaches weren’t wasted to full capacity.
Look up and sees him in the eyes. Everything just fades to white as flashes just
swing through your mind, a never ending circadian of thoughts seeming like forever.
Feeling that person’s lips onto yours like its happening. Feel their hands through
your hair and just know that they’re truly the one.
Feeling their arms around your waist. Seeing their smile everyday for the rest of
your life. Tasting their lips onto yours. Hearing their sweet voice whisper I love
you into your ear. Smelling their cologne or laundry detergent. And that last 6th
scent you just know in your mind that they’re going to be the one.
An arm outstretches over the table with a smile pasted on the lips.
“Hello.” Simple introduction. A nod.
Looking at that person over and over knowing something’s going to happen. A dull
ending of a story but a beautiful beginning story that it ends with.
